Members can also buy and sell Clipper Tickets in the forum, and season-ticket holders and offer split requests, ask questions, and more! Led by coach Doc Rivers, Lou Williams, Tobias Harris, rookies Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jerome Robinson (plus hopefully a healthy Danilo Gallinari), the Clippers are looking to contend for a 2018-19 playoff spot in the West, despite the departures of long time Clipper DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin, losing Chris Paul. How will Milos Teodosic, Avery Bradley and Patrick Beverley do in the revamped Clipper backcourt? To improve itself, which player(s) will the team trade for or sign as a free agent? How will Marcin Gortat do as the new Clipper center? Montrezl Harrell and Wes Johnson look to lead the bench squad for 2017-18. At the helm of the franchise, Steve Ballmer is willing and able to empower the team so it can reach its ultimate goal of an NBA Championship. Here we have an active Los Clippers Message Board to discuss anything re: the team or the NBA, chatting & recapping the most recent game. The LAC fans have been described as some of the best in the NBA who hang with the team through thick and thin (well- mostly thin in the past). If you have any suggestions/requests to make this site a better experience for you please contact us and let us know! Go Clips and go Clipper Nation!

Participation Award 2019 Season Review

April 27, 2019 - Posted by LAC_12

I am looking at some of the old posts and the moods of this forum over the relived some good, bad, and funny moments with my TopBuzz brothers and sisters. I can honestly say, it is always fun going through a season with y'all. The disagreements, the drunk posts, the fan art, the jokes, and even the occasional agreements.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I want to come out with an interesting topic that I enjoyed the "recalibration of expectations".

I think as Clipper fans, we have taken the back seat to a lot of NBA action in the past. And for good...

Don't Call It A Rebuild

July 15, 2018 - Posted by LAC_12

Came across a BR article and I felt a lot of So I decided to write up some content and vent.

"... We haven’t won crap in LA, but we’re trying The goal is to win, and once you win"if you ever do"then I don’t want to rebuild anymore. Then you go to the next one. That’s the way I look at it.”

Which totally makes You cannot truly rebuild if you have not won. You can only reset and build with a new direction. We are retooled and trying to achieve NBA glory without our old core. In fact, although this comment may come off as a slap to the faces of...

Who Do the Clippers Rebuild Around?

December 4, 2017 - Posted by SamMays

So, almost all of us agree that a major rebuild is required. The only difference seems to be if we build around Blake, or move him and start from the ground up.

In looking at what we have I think.

DJ: is not a max contract guy. I'd be looking to trade him for future prospects ASAP

Blake: I think we can keep him, at least into next season, see what level the rebuild is at - if a competitive retooling happened quickly as the result of a high draft pick and some shrewd Jerry West moves, or if it's going to be a long climb. If it's a long climb, then we can move Blake around next...

Recalibration of Expectations

November 6, 2017 - Posted by LAC_12

I just wanted to post and reach out to a Clipper fan It has come to my attention that we may be overestimating our team. I DO think we need to recalibrate our expectation or else we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. It has nothing to do with US (I guess some of it has to do with )

But everyone is playing for 2nd place.

I should also mention that we are NOT one of those

We are only going to go as far as Blake will take us. If CP3 managed to carry us to mostly 1st round or WC semi finals, and he is a stubborn and fiesty PITBULL, then Blake Griffin's...

Clippers Season Autopsy

April 26, 2017 - Posted by SamMays

The Clippers 2016-17 season is over with another first round playoff exit. This accepts the idea that we have virtually no chance of beating Utah twice in a row. Even if we did somehow pull off a miracle, we would then have literally no chance of beating Golden State in a best of seven.

Let's start with Doc. While his value as a coach can be debated, I don't think there is much debate that he's been a lousy GM. Sure, he has kept the big three together, but winning 50+ a year makes that a fairly minor accomplishment. What has he done to surround them with talent? The answer is abject...

Attitude - the Lost Element

November 11, 2016 - Posted by LAC_12

Many long time Clipper fans may feel like what I am feeling a change in attitude. It is that same change that I've begun to feel that may make way for some change. REAL CHANGE. The attitude of "We are winners". It may be just getting older and being more but I no longer celebrate a lot of impressive wins. I no longer care for fancy plays. I no longer go to the calendar and mark certain

... OK I may still do that. But the mind frame has been: "when do the playoffs start"

I must admit this has really taken a toll on getting high during the...

Clippers Are A Lot Better Than Last Year

April 19, 2016 - Posted by SamMays

The Clippers are as ready for this post season as we could be. Sure, our record wasn't as good as last years, but there are a lot of reasons for that, that have nothing to do with talent. This team is better and not just a little bit, but a lot.

DJ has improved with every year in the league and this year is no exception. He's a better player than he was last year. He's smarter, more self aware and has improved as a post player even if he doesn't get a lot of opportunities to show it.

CP3 doesn't look to have hit the slide downward yet. Additionally, he is healthier and better rested...

A Look Deep Inside Blake's Brain, What's He Thinking?

February 19, 2016 - Posted by JamFan

Blake looks normal enough finally getting to sit on the sidelines of a Clipper game. He stands up an cheers his team mates and even gave a high five to assistant equipment manager and friend Matias Testi. Let's hope that the incident that happened between the two of them doesn't leave long lasting damage to Blake's psyche. Here are a few things that Blake could be agonizing over right now.

Friends occasionally have disputes, and sometimes it leads to fisticuffs. But Blake went out of his way to go after a guy who is half his size. Generally speaking, fans don't like...

Luc Mbah a Moute Has Had a Big Impact on the Starting Unit

January 14, 2016 - Posted by Agent0

I actually will applaud Doc, but not for what the OP is suggesting. What I will applaud Doc for is putting and keeping Luc in the starting lineup. The Clippers don't have anyone at SF who is a "must start" type, and many were iffy about it, but with that situation, Luc was the perfect glue guy to choose out of all the options, and he's done a great job.

People might be glaring over some of the things he does, but the starting lineup with Luc has been outrebounding their opponents.

The starting lineup with Luc plays mpg. In those minutes, the are:

Three Routes to a Championship

November 22, 2015 - Posted by SamMays

In looking at the teams that have won championships over the last ten years or so, there seems to me to be three ways of doing it.

1. Golden State. They were extremely fortunate in the draft and the players they drafted developed into NBA stars with surprising quickness, especially given where they went in the draft. The main ones were Curry, Thompson, Barnes and Green. None were #1 picks. Yet they became stars in this league while they were still under their rookie deals, which meant they were cheap so the team could afford pay or bring in good players to surround them. Livingston, Bogut,...
