2026 2nd Round Mock Draft

31. NEW YORK KNICKS, JUKE HARRIS, 2G/SF, WAKE FOREST After going with a big in the first round, they get a guy who can swing between the 2 and 3 here 32. MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES, TARRIS REED, C. UCONN, 6'11" Had a great tournament until he faced Michigan's huge front line 33. BROOKLYN NETS, DILLON MITCHELL, SF, ST. JOHN'S, 6'8" Local product gives the Nets depth at the 3 spot 34. SACRAMENTO KINGS, EBUKA OKORIE, PG, STANFORD, 6'2" The Kings were so weak at point guard last year that they take another one here 35. SAN ANTONIO SPURS, SERGIO DE LARREA, 1/2G, SPAIN Versatile guard appears to be best player available after Spurs go big in the first round 36. LA CLIPPERS, MILOS UZAN, PG, HOUSTON, 6'4" Impressive in the 2025 final four. After going without a true backup at point guard last season, the Clips decide to be extra careful and go with another lead guard 37. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER, TREVON BRAZILLE, PF, ARKANSAS, 6'10" Despite going big twice in the first round, they do it again here due to having so much perimeter depth 38. CHICAGO BULLS, MELEEK THOMAS, 1/2G, ARKANSAS, 6'4" Razorbacks go back to back as the Bulls take best player available 39. HOUSTON ROCKETS, OTEGA OWEH, 2G, KENTUCKY, 6'5" The Rockets could use a backup at the 2 spot as they don't really have a true off guard on the roster as Amen Thompson is better suited for the frontcourt in today's game 40. BOSTON CELTICS, ALLEN GRAVES, PF, SANTA CLARA, 6'9" The Celtics go with another big to give them much needed frontcourt depth 41. MIAMI HEAT, JEREMY FEARS, PG, MICHIGAN STATE, 6'1" You can never have too many lead guards as I view it as the most important position on the floor 42. SAN ANTONIO SPURS, TOUNDE YESSEFOU, 2G/SF, BAYLOR, 6'5" The Spurs have loads of lead guards and they went big in the first round so....

That is funny if Sacramento takes a Stanford player two years in a row.

Hopefully some PFs end up being good.

It's boring if the only rookies we talk about are PGs or wings.

Best jokes were #49, and the beginning of #51. Just the way the beginning of #51 was phrased was good.

I think there's a joke in here somewhere.

There's a player named Juke, and he can swing between the 2 and the 3. Sounds like a good technique for fooling defenders.

Haha good one

Arenas is the son of Gilbert Arenas. Given all the crap that Kwame Brown has talked towards Gil recently, I'm sure there's a joke there as well

Especially the guy I have going to the Clips. If we're talking about 1st rounders, I've always been high on Lendebourg while Moritz Johnson and Koa Peat look to be good ones as well

Added heights here as well

Nice to have two picks in this round. Let's hope we can score two gems here.

Fears, Bidunga and Youseffou are returning to school. Youseffou is transferring to St. John's while Fears appears to be staying at Michigan State

I believe Bidunga is transferring from Kansas to Louisville

Are you going to update your mock for those teams that had them?

It's possible. I'll need some time though

Okay, good. I'm rooting for Tounde even more than all the Zona kids. He needs another year to get his shot in order. Just wish he'd stay out West and get closer to SoCal.

Then, I guess my early picks for next draft are Tounde and Magoon Gwath

Alijah Arenas is coming back to school. With their recruiting class, the Trojans should be tough

  1. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER, TREVON BRAZILLE, PF, ARKANSAS, 6'10"

I get that we're Small Guard University, but if we pass on Brazile to pick Uzan, I'll be so mad... Lmao!! Brazile is switchable, has the potential to shoot outside, has bounce.... I think he'd be a no brainer at 37. Plus, we need guys in the 3rd unit who are preparing to move into the 2nd Unit.

I think every front court unit needs defensive versatility, athleticism, and shooting.... all 3 units

You could be right but with all the players that have dropped out of the draft since I did this mock, I have a bad feeling that he'll be gone by the time the Clips pick but yeah, if he's there, he's looking more and more like a good pick

My thing is that I just don't trust Garland to stay healthy so I'm looking for backcourt depth but based on what I hear on this board from you and Nuraman among others, they should just go with the best bigs possible. It will be interesting to see how this shakes down

Now that Brunson has won a title, I feel like the entire NBA is going to continue this weird small Guard roster construction thing. I've mainly been rooting for Power Forwards and switchable Centers because I'm tired of us not having an answer for Chet, Mobley, Giannis, AD, Lauri, Triple J, Siakam, Zion, Paolo, Jabari Smith Jr, etc... we showed up with John Collins for over $26m...

I'm almost certain we will be drafting Acuff or Mikel Brown Jr. I'm with you. I don't trust Garland to stay healthy either, but I don't trust him at all. I think he's completely overpriced. $40m a year for someone who gets scored on all game long and bullied by all the big ass Point Guards in the West is insane.

I think the more we talk about it, the more its clear that there's multiple needs.

A healthy starting PG.

And better frontcourt players.

A good coach.

A good GM.

So using the draft to fill any of those would be good.

Just don't take a PG if he's going to be much worse than the available PF or C, and don't take the PF or C if he's going to be much worse than the PG.

Also, I might trade down if its the 5 for something like the 8 and 15. Just throwing out hypotheticals. But not two picks worse than that.

Also, there are going to be busts in the top 10. There's going to be busts or players that aren't as good as you want them to be, elsewhere too.

If I trade down, I'd rather have one proven player coming back, than a draft pick, which is more of an unknown.

Also though, the Clippers got lucky by getting #5. After all that, don't spit luck in the face, or on any other body part, and not use the #5 pick.

Luck like this comes around once every Haley's comet. Don't take it for granted.

Yes, the #5 can be a bust too, but at least there's more options to pick from.

Hopefully the team has done an evaluation on both the player, and the person. To know if the person can handle NBA life; increased attention from friends, family, and fans; travel; etc.

Some people can't handle that.

Some people also don't know how to fit in a team. Some people think they're going to be the star of the team, and won't accept any other role. Or their hype people fill their head with that stuff.

Agree with not taking the #5 for granted. Not only were the Clips not guaranteed of getting a pick at all but that was the absolute best spot that they could pick. Throw in the fact that this is a great draft and you have to maximize this to it's fullest

That is a good point that it was also the best spot they could have had.

They could have also gotten the 6th spot, if Brooklyn, Sacramento, Memphis, Atlanta, Dallas, Milwaukee, Golden State, Miami, or Charlotte had moved into the top 4, instead of Washington.

49. DENVER NUGGETS, PAVLE BACKO, C, SERBIA

The last time the Nuggets picked a center from Serbia in the 2nd round, it worked out pretty well

The last time the Nuggets picked a center from Serbia in the 2nd round, he got Taco Bell Quesaritoed.

Pavle Backo will get Taco Bell Quesaritoed.

As in, ESPN will go to commercial when their pick is called. Then when returning back from commercial, they'll show no highlights of that player, give no breakdown for that player, and just say he was drafted.

That's what happened to Nikola Jokic in 2014. Meanwhile, they gave full analysis on the players right before and after Jokic, with highlights.
