I correctly picked Dallas #1 last year.

I want more balance between the conferences so I'll go
Chicago
Brooklyn
Atlanta (with Milwaukee's pick)
Memphis
We got the Indiana pick!
Great news as Clippers' gamble paid off as they get the 5th pick of the draft despite slightly less than 50% chance of getting it!
infinity : 1 odds clippers pick a guard
Yes! Please don't do anything stupid like trading the pick away. FFS, Frank keep the pick. You've been bailed out here. Don't f#ck this up.
Instead of the draft lottery on Mother's Day , they should do the MVP award. Because I think a lot of winners will thank their mothers, even if it wasn't on Mother's Day. And if someone doesn't thank their mother, grandmother, sister, or aunt, no big deal. We would probably know that they didn't grow up with a good maternal figure.
Whereas the draft lottery is more controversial and will make some people mad every year.
The MVP award is more heartwarming, specially when people acknowledge where they came from.

This is true. Thankfully, this lottery didn't leave too much for conspiracy theories, especially considering the type of talent in this draft
DC is a big market but the Wiz are run like a mid sized market team
The Jazz were the biggest tankers and actually got rewarded. Had they dropped to like 7th, the conspiracy hacks would be saying that Silver made sure it was rigged in order to punish them
Memphis at 3 doesn't provide for any conspiracy material either and while the Bulls making it to #4 puts another big market in there, they've been so irrelevant for so long that they barely move the needle for the conspiracy theorists
The other thing is, even if there aren't conspiracy theories this year, 8 - 10 fans of teams will be unhappy, because either they moved down, or didn't move up.
Then, if there is a year with a conspiracy theory, fans of the team that didn't move up will be unhappy.
Hence, why the MVP award instead would be a better feel good broadcast instead, on Mother's Day.

This is true. I think they are waiting for SGA to have a home game to announce the MVP though. He's most likely going to get it so they're circling game 1 of the WC finals to award it to him but yeah, your idea makes a lot of sense
Yuck.
You just said it without saying it. If what you said happens, then that means Jokic or
Wembanyama won't win MVP. ![]()
