http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24717311/sports-illustrated-writer-lee-jenkins-join-la-clippers-front-office Arguably the best writer in all of sports. Hired to work in the Clippers front office closely with Frank, Winger, Redden, West as 'Director of research and identity'. "In our line of work, we ask questions from different angles, assemble information in different ways. We try to put it together like puzzles until we've formed a portrait of a person. I'm going to try to bring that same process to the Clippers in hopes it will complement what their incredible group of evaluators already accomplish. This team is interested not just in what players do, but who they are -- how....

I listen to Lee Jenkins interviews on radio shows a lot. He's pretty good.

Nice move to get someone with a different but useful kind of experience.

I haven't been on board with some of the front office moves, in recent years.

I am with this move.

I love it. Get the media on our side. Maybe he can help us build some superstars with our two rookies. The more popular the player, the more ref calls.

He singled out Shai in one of his quotes in the SI article. Maybe he thinks we have something special with him.

He also said he used to pull for the Clippers when he worked at KTLA. Welcome aboard!

Clippers have been making great moves to reshape the front office and are really dedicated to change and set a new culture.

This is an exciting hire!

Here's Lee Jenkins on the Woj Pod. If you got 35 minutes to spare it's a great listen as Lee gives fascinating insight into our front office and our organization's goals.

' great listen. This gives me lots of optimism on our future. And all of those $100 clippers will win a championship before lakers bets I've made around town!!!!!

I don't get it. Is this window dressing? They can put up great articles on clippers.com i guess. What's next a poet laureate or team historian?

The front office has been making some real bold moves. Paramount of course was bringing in Jerry West. You can see a lot of differences in the trades that we have made. The days of giving up draft picks for aging players are gone. Stripping Doc of his President of Basketball Operations title was the second indication that this team wanted change. We have hired so many guys that it makes me think at how inept our franchise was in the past. I would probably only have one reservation of all the moves, but I won't bring up that topic.
