NOOOOOOOOOO. Everybody should not buy anything with the new identity. Maybe a drastic merchandise sales dip will get through to them since popular opinion doesn't see to sway them.

There should be a protest if this is the new look. The logos are amateurish at best. The theme looks so Video gamish, community organized sports leaguish , or Summer league attire. Horrible, horrible news if this goes through. I'll never buy any merchandise in the future if that is the case.

oh man...at this point I at least hope the uniform designs aren't legit

Damn, I got excited seeing the logo only to realize seconds after it was a rejected fan idea...

The actual logo is just embarrassing...

Other than the hideous red jersey, all the others are acceptable imo.

Trademarking them doesn't make them official. These are currently in the public domain (unprotected) and could be used by any person or organization to make money or embarrass the organization UNTIL new designs are finalized.

Trademark applications run a mere 700 bucks apiece. I'd say it was a smart investment by the franchise and a small price to pay to protect what's theirs whether they decide to run with it or not.

I don't like 'em either, but there's nothing to freak out over yet.

I like the white home uniform and the blue ones. The other two not so much

I actually like the primary logo. The secondary "LAC" logo is atrocious though and looks really ugly on the black jersey. Although, it's not the end of the world, OP, haha.

Cleepers hit it on the head. All this does is protect the franchise from having outside companies using these logos for their own profit. Not a big deal yet. Keep your fingers crossed that it will play out better still.

Aaah...calming voice of reason. Thank you!

This makes me sick to my stomach. I mean, how basic can a logo get? Double underline Clippers? How emphatic.

I can't decide if these look more like a club soccer uni or a reject from some Jaoanese Anime cartoon. NOOOOOOOOOOOO

Pure crap. I hope what gear I have lasts a while because I will not be upgrading anything.

You know,it doesn't look like LAC,it looks like CLA. Who the eff is CLA?

Ugh hope this isn't true. Those jerseys are f***in ugly

Makes it even funnier that they would want to protect that intellectual property from copyright infringement. Maybe EA Sports can take them to court for taking elements from their NBA Live logo. Actually, that's the best part of the new Clippers logo/logos. The idea isn't even the Clippers.

Doesn't look like something they put much time or effort into does it? Quite amateurish, well hopefully they'll rethink it before a final decision.

Those look hideous... how are the official? The website said they were concepts.

A few years ago, when the Sacramento Kings were considering moving to Anaheim, the term "Anaheim Royals" and a few logos were trademarked in case the move took place. It never did, but they were precautionary steps to take in case it did happen. That's what they're doing here. It's not official, they're just protecting it for the down the road. So just because it's trademarked doesn't mean it's going to be official.

But I'm with you guys, those look hideous and ugly. They look like urban graffiti. I really hope they have other ideas to consider because if that's the best they can come up with, then the people in our PR department lack creativity.

These won't be our jerseys I can promise you that.

Nobody will buy them and that speaks louder than anything.

I like them. Sorry guys

This is my main objection of the new logo --- first impression is CLA, not LAC. Poor execution. And no, it's not "edgy" as these marketing people want us to believe. It spells confusion to me.

Agree hahahaha. I don't mind the white and blue ones but CLA WTF is that?

I've always loved our current logo. I see nothing wrong with it

That's actually our old logo before the current one.

is it really? it's plastered all over the clippers and nba website

There's are slight differences between the current (2010-present) and previous (1984-2010) logo, particularly the placement of the basketball seams

I much prefer the present jerseys. The new ones are missing "Los Angeles" - I'm sure they'll grow on me in time but I'm not impressed at all.

Learn to close out games. Learn to shoot free throws. Learn to make the final shot.

Who cares about jersey design other than the designers?

Considering how much money comes from merchandising I think it is far more than just designers who care about the uniforms. Would you rather wear a cool, good looking jersey/tshirt/hat in public or something that is dogsh!t ugly? If anything the NBA should step in (since they like doing that) and say "Nope! We won't let part of our brand look like that, try again Clipper."

Guys that rebrand is incredible! Share it everywhere. I want it to be true.

Whoa! Those are killer.

It would be the first time our logos and apparel would reflect our name. We are the "Clippers" yet our logo is just a basketball. Why?

Make this happen Ballmer.

^Kind of looks a bit like a high heel shoe.

Not a fan of that primary mark, or the word marks, but there's something there with the secondary and tertiary explorations. The red on blue doesn't really work, but with some refinement they could be awesome.

I thought that too. Still better than our current logo though.

I know the clipper ships in San Diego is what we're named after but the sailing theme just doesn't work for LA imo.

I am with you. Although I prefer the sailing theme to the other unofficial rebrand... THOSE ARE ATROCIOUS.

I really do not se anything wrong with our current set up. Change the font and color saturation perhaps. Throw in a powder blue MAYBE EVEN orange (throwback Buffalo) alternates. Work in our current dark blue alternate or even BLACK.

I don't care... I'm fine with what we've got now. A change would be OK, if done RIGHT.

California is a Pacific coast state. How is LA not tied to the sailing ship logo? It's not SD but the ocean coast is a big tourist attraction. dontknow

Los Angeles is also the busiest freight port in the U.S. - and Clippers were small, fast freight ships. The nautical theme fits L.A. as well or better than it fits San Diego.

I am fine with the LA Clippers theme now... and I am OK with a Clipper Ship theme... The maritime theme is pushing it and a bit too broad and untrue... Largest freight port DOES NOT have Clipper ships running the economy. And it is not even in the city of LA.

Also some of the art makes the logo look like a Cavs logo and NOLA logo.

I understand that we have to rebrand, but is should not be rushed... specially considering I really like our kits / design we've already got!

Yeah... and Detroit isn't manufacturing as many pistons anymore, there are no grizzly bears in Memphis except at the zoo, Utah isn't known for its jazz music and lakers were ships used in the midwest... your point?

California has the third longest coastline after Alaska and Florida. I think a maritime theme is just fine.

Maybe a new kind of interactive logo. When we win, the ship sails on. When we lose, the ship sinks. And, man, did this ship sink tonight.

That's just ridiculous. Is that seriously the best they can come up with? We're about to have the worst logo in the league. Just awful.

They can change it whenever they want. It will most likely be temporary..

They CAN change it whenever they want, however if they're moving forward and producing merchandise with it, the chances of them ACTUALLY changing it are pretty slim. It's not a cheap endeavor to rebrand (logo and identity design, merchandise, uniforms, signage, stationery, etc. - upwards of $1M+) and even though Ballmer is crazy rich, I doubt he likes throwing money away. My guess is we're stuck with this abomination.

Not great, but still better than our current logos. Just my opinion.
