Clippers at Jazz Game Day 2026-01-27

Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

What are your thoughts on the upcoming contest vs. the Jazz? What must the Clippers do earn a W? Which Jazz player should Los Angeles focus the D on? Will the game be bombs away by both teams or a slower-paced game? Which match-ups are you looking forward to seeing?

Slow start by the Clips, and it's 8-zip Jazz.

Collins nice job inside for the reverse- the first bucket of the game for the Clips

Clips with 4 points in the first 5 minutes, clanking all their 3's

There we go- Collins hits the Clippers' first bingo. Good decision by Kawhi to pass it.

Jamal Crawford is the commentator for this NBC NBA coast to coast game. Doing a good job!

The Klaw shuffles it to Batum for the bingo in the corner, cuts it to 5

A reversal of roles there as Harden cleans up Zu's miss

Clips had cut it to 2, but shooting woes continue and it's 29-18 Jazz after 1.

Kawhi the spinning shotput in the lane, now dishes out of the double to Sanders for 3!

KL taking over here- baseline J, then the euro J, now another tough baseliner over the double! Clips LEAD 33-31 just like that

Zu needs to just go up- taking too long for some of these moves and getting the ball poked away

That was perfect- Zu draws 2 inside, delivers a strike to the wide open Harden for the bingo. Trims the Jazz lead to 3.

The Beard heating up- another bingo via good ball movement, now the floater inside to notch it at 51.

Ugh Ace Bailey hits the 3 at the buzzer- Clips down 54-53 at the half.

Dunn steal and slam, and now Collins throws it down on the Zu tip out. Clips shooting themselves in the foot though with these missed FTs.

Dunn again with the pick and score!

They leave KL wide open for some reason, and he splashes the bingo home. Now Dunn the trifecta- third steal and score in the first 6 minutes!

Dunn boom from deep, now Zu the power slam as the Clips starting to pick the Jazz apart

Lopez now the traditional 3 point play with the and 1 on that stroll to the hoop

Lopez claps for the ball, gets the pass from Harden and drills the wide open 3. Clips now up by *19*. What a turnaround!

Only bad news is that Collins has just committed his 5th foul with 2:50 left in the 3rd

Lopez out jumps Markenen after that successful Clipper challenge. I think Brook may well be a better jump baller than Zu.

How about the French Knight? The midrange, now the typical corner 3!

Clips 89-74 after 3 after a sensational first 6 minutes of the 3rd Q.

What a block by Lopez on Markenen- Clips should've challenged as the ball was off of Markenen

Dunn again from deep as they left him open. He has 14 this game vs 10 the last 3

Kawhi a simple crossover causes Bailey to overreact, and he snipes it in from deep. Now unselfish ball movement results in the Lopez corner bingo as the Clippers crush any Jazz hope for a comeback.

We need Dunn and Kawhi off the floor. Use this chance to play some young guys. Utah doesn't want to win tonight.

Way to not play down to their level in the 2nd Half. Great to see the guys get the lead and handle business.

Onto the next, solid dub... need a few more so we get over the .500 mark.

Yeah the first half showed signs that this could've been a tough battle the rest of the way, but the guys just took care of business especially on defense to start the 3rd. Dunn & Kawhi were superb in that stretch and then Harden + the reliable quartet of Sanders, Miller, Lopez and Batum took the baton and kept going.

Good payback win from the first game of the season when the Clippers got shellacked in Utah, an ominous omen of things to come. But what a turnaround- 16-3 now in the last 19 games. Amazingly .500 is so close now! The best team in NBA history that has come back from such a terrible start still finished 10 games below .500, so the Clips can make history in emphatic fashion.

Highlights:

Wow, to start the season 6-21 and then go 22-24. This has got to be in the top ten turnarounds in NBA history for a span of that time.
