Kobe with a nice 1v1 J to start the game
Wagler guarding Darryn Peterson. Good move to shake 2 defenders but can't hit the little turnaround
Cam Christie is having the same issues of having a tough time finishing on the drive
Wow- Wagler nearly airballs the FT. Now Peterson shakes Wagler and power slams it past Omier. Baba Miller good dish on the drive to Omier for the and 1.
Miller- bingo from up top as they left him open
There we go- Wagler from way downtown!
Peterson just shoves off on Pedulla, no call. Pedulla a nice drive and lob earlier to Miller.
Martinelli outpaces everyone and slams it home on the break- assist Pedulla
Good effort by Telfort diving for the ball, gets it to Martinelli who gets another fastbreak bucket. Clips up 19-13 after 1Q.
Martinelli the drive, pivot and the little lefty hook for 2. Now Nick from deep! Timeout Jazz.
How about Telfort with his second bingo!
Baba Miller the quick 2 giant steps and the easy layup!
Peterson, on defense, is bullying Wagler. Strips him here, and blocked his shot earlier.
Peterson looks like SGA out there- very hard to stop
That's like the 5th bucket or so Christie has missed in the paint. Jazz run out and can now take the lead.
Make that #6 after another miss w/o drawing a foul
Wagler a good drive and kick to Christie in the corner but he misses the open 3. Clips up 40-38 at the half. Both teams shooting only around 35%.
Baba Miller another burst of speed move for the jam, and 1!
Christie another miss on the drive, this time on a fastbreak- Sanders cleans it up
Miller the hustle rebound, to Telfort for the corner bingo!
Christie's nightmare continues as his fastbreak dunk hits front rim. Clips rebound and Wagler drills the bingo- timeout Jazz! Clips back up 9.
Lol Miller now banks in a 35 footer as the shot clock ran down
Wagler has hit a trio of 3's but his runner hasn't looked good. Omier having himself a solid game with 7 and 7, 2 steas.
WTH Jonas Aidoo, the Utah Center, forearms Wagler and then with a backwards punch-like motion that hits Wagler in the face. They're reviewing this for a flagrant. Sure looks like a flagrant.
Wagler- that's like his first 2 point FG in the NBA. A running jumper that's true. Now Martinelli the quick floater to give the Clips their largest lead of the game at 16.
Sean Pedulla- why not. Bingo!
Wagler heating up- step back bingo!
Wagler heaves up the 3 to end the 3rd Q, and gets decked by Peterson. 3 FTs and Wagler finishes with *18* points in the Q while Peterson only had 5.
Clippers and Wagler a terrific bounce-back game, especially in that 3rd Q. Omier still battling with Clippers up 20, forces the jump ball and wins it. Loyer who reminds a little bit of Kennard, ends up drilling the bingo.
Final score- Clippers 104, Jazz 82.
Ecstatic to be wrong about Wagler today. I still DO believe he needs an incredible level of conditioning. Strength, speed, stamina... this guy needs an intervention. But his toughness to get hit so many times, punched in the face twice basically, and keep pushing was inspiring. His 3rd quarter was beautiful to see, and his defensive effort across two games has been great. The really great thing is if he can really get these things and his handle leveled up, he can have a bright future. I am also really pleased with Martinelli and Baba Miller in these first two games. Hope they are around for a long time.

Great bounce back game for Wagler. We just have to be patient, everyone. The kid is going to have his ups and downs.
