Where can I park that doesn't cost my spleen and liver?

I'm working on a parking permit at Expo/Sepulveda station so I can take the shuttle but I can't figure it out

Do you have the ID app? If so, I'll walk you through the steps

Also, if you don't want to do the shuttle thing, you should download the "spot hero" app. It will lead you to parking lots near ID for as low as $25. That $25 one in particular is around Prairie and Arbor Vitae across the street from Sofi

Thanks

Just booked a spot across the street from ID in the Hollywood park casino parking structure for $31.10 after fees via the spot hero app. I think this is the way to go. I've figured out the ID app and how to take the shuttles but if you're more comfortable driving and parking, getting a spot hero space for half of what the ID structure charges, would seem to be the way to go

I used ParkWiz. It found a garage in the Hollywood Park area, for $17.49.

Great deal! I should've held off until getting your advice. I just assumed $25 to $30 was a good deal considering that the closer ID structures are in the $50 to $70 range

Long story short for those of us who want cheap parking. Use ParkWiz or SpotHero if you absolutely need to park. Utilize the ID app if you want a good shuttle deal

So I think my parking was a better deal than some, because I was restricted to the 3rd level or higher.

Which means in theory, it should take longer to get out.

I didn't find any spots left in the 3rd level, even though I had a "reservation". So I parked in the 4th floor.

When I was leaving, it was pretty quick to get out of the garage. Probably 5 minutes or less from the time I backed out of my spot in the 4th floor, to the time I exited the garage.

As for the logistics as to how all of this worked, I booked my reservation online through ParkWhiz. When I got to the Hollywood Park area, I wasn't sure what garage to go to. There were many that looked the same. I guess each garage had a number, but it's a little hard to tell. The numbers aren't easily visible.

I went to entrance of one garage. I asked the attendant if my reservation allowed me to park in this garage. He said yes, but 3rd floor.

On the way out, after the event, you just leave. You don't need to scan anything or prove you already paid.

So I did get an address, it was 3951 West Century Blvd.

Problem is that due to the traffic rerouting, it becomes confusing how to find that exact garage. They close off certain pathways, but the GPS doesn't know about the exact day of rerouting by the traffic management employees.

The GPS thought I was at the garage when I wasn't really there, still probably a few hundred feet away. Combine that with the fact that there's at least 3 garages that are right next to each other, and the exact area of the garage entrance is again something the GPS doesn't know, and it becomes confusing. The GPS doesn't know what side the exact garage entrance is, nor what the exact drive-able path to the entrance. There's still some areas coned off.

My guess is that any of the two or three garages would have been ok to park in, and they all had the same rate. Because I don't think I parked exactly at 3951, but at one of the adjacent ones. But the attendant said it was ok.

Walking out of the Hollywood Park area, and getting onto Century Blvd, is tricky. Not an obvious pathway.

But, all things considered, I think it's more of a "first time" experience. Once you go there a few times, I think you'll figure out things.

Given the pretty cheap rate, and less than 10 minute walk from the Intuit Dome to the garage, I think it went as well as could be expected.

Also, even though there was a lot going on that night, the foot traffic was reasonable. I never felt like it really stalled, before or after the event.

I've been to other events where it just feels like there's about a thousand people in front of you, all walking in the same direction.

This didn't feel like that.

I also thought the rerouting by the traffic management employees was reasonable. It didn't feel like it added much more time, or was too much out of the way.

Thanks
