Seriously, what in the world is Ballmer doing? This is the first true test of his ownership, and he's failed it miserably. I could understand keeping Doc after the 2015 collapse because it was his first as owner, and frankly the roster was not the best roster constructed. But this, a roster that fans could only dream of, and we can't even get out of the second round? And we lost Games 5, 6, and 7 in literally the same fashion, with the team just flat out quitting in the last two 4th quarters, and we decided to run it back? My mother and I just finished our 6th year as season ticket holders. After all that and the money they're asking us to shell out in the middle of a pandemic, I think we're going to have to have a serious conversation as to whether or not we should continue. This is unacceptable and if they think the fans are just going to clap their hands and be happy, they have another thing coming.
You can also exchange the letters IRE to UCK. It would also double as a great thread title.
As long as the Clippers retain Doc Rivers, we will remain the NBA's biggest joke.
Clippers want to stay mediocre. Let them feel it. They aren't getting 50 to 100 bucks of my money to see the same guy sit on the bench lifeless during 16-2 scoring runs, while he blames it on conditioning
They are out there.
Jay Wright -Villanova coach
Is the only one I’ve ever looked at as far as offensive sets and what not. My point is they are out there. Look at what they run, how do they adjust, and handle obstacles and egos? The front office has to do their job when it comes to this too.
Doc has clearly failed in handling egos, adjustments, energy, rotations, and development! I mean what else do you need. Teams were scared of the potential and talent but never really scared of what actually came together on the court. Just flashes, but never a streak of games that we looked as good as we did on paper.

I wouldn’t get too depressed about Doc staying just yet, Ballmer is extremely unhappy and there’s rumors that he’s considering shaking the whole thing up since PG and Kawhi are only locked up for one more season. Remember they signed Blake to that big extension and made everyone think he was here long term, and boom traded him just a few weeks later. Remember it’s Jerry West who’s advising Ballmer and West has never been soft on coaches or players that aren’t producing. There’s definite changes coming but it’s too early to try and predict, and West has already proved to be unpredictable in his short time with the Clippers. I don’t get the sense that Doc is safe by a long shot.
Really, Clippers need to have their exit interview with their players. If Kawhi Leonard says, "Get rid of Doc Rivers," they'd have to consider it.
That's why this rubber stamping of "Doc will be back next year" smells of Doc Rivers calling someone and floating the rumor himself.
If both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George say they're not re-signing with the Clippers if Doc Rivers is the coach, Steve Ballmer and Jerry West would have to do something.
And that's when Doc'll pull the race card. "I was told that I was coming back. I'm not going to say racism had anything to do with this. I really won't. But it's just not right, you know what I mean? Did you see the mess that I inherited?"
Hire sammy and get it over with
This sucks we're not in the WCF.. LA vs LA??? Wtf is this franchise doing? Come on. Silver has to make a call to Ballmer and ask him what's going on? Why are we always on this backwards dumb sh*t? Yes Ballmer has a firm grasp on marketing with the ads, billboards, slogans, and so forth but what about the small sh*t that matters like coaching, chemisty, and cohesiveness? Hate to see a brotha lose his job but its time for a new voice in the locker room. Hold the players accountable. No more favorites and coddling. Plus I live in LA..Inglewood and I want to see this team get a footing and challenge the massive Laker fanbase here. These chokes kill off any type of progress we can make in the metro area. We had years to dig into the marketplace when the Lakers were down post Kobe(rip) and still couldn't make a dent. Come on.. I damn near feel like the league needs to step in like they did with Philly and the nonstop tanking they were doing with Hinke at the helm. Wake the f*ck up Ballmer!! We should be on the edge of our seats right now with the Lakers vs Clippers starting tonight but now we're in turmoil and the laughing stock of the league. If you're worth billions upon billions of dollars and steadily talking all that rah rah sh*t then why are we going through sh*t like this right now!! When he bought the team he said we're going to be HARDCORE!!! Look how that has turned out. Un-F*CKING-Believable!!!!!
I will be back watching Clippers again if the Clippers management fired Doc Rivers but for now I cannot enjoy watching the team next season , I hope Jerry West can fix the coaching staff of Clippers.
Kind of sad how many clipper fans have been content with Doc coming back because they rather not care. This bum is a plague to the franchise we should demand more
I've been a Clips fan for 16 years -- and this is the most embarrassing season yet.
Doc has to go. End of story.
This helps my case. I was calling on using the "bubble players" ( Green-Noah-Patterson) more after losing to Denver for the first time. This wasn't your ordinary season and Doc should have run with the guys who adapted better. Keeping Trez and Lou in after they never adapted was pure hubris. His arrogance once again, proved fatal. I'm glad several players saw it the same way.
Yet let’s keep him on as coach right? Let’s remove another player for him to stop making bad decisions like Pierce, Bradley, postseason Crawford, Harrell and etc wasn’t a thing
We don’t need to do anything stupid or too drastic. We still have to be realistic. This was a new time, that had injuries all season, then got hit with a pandemic and a 4 month layoff.
These definitely wasn’t normal circumstances.
I think changing coaches is the biggest change we need to make.
Hello everyone, new to this site. I’ve been a laker and clipper fan since the 80s. In MY opinion I think they need to have a new coach. He is overrated, the only reason he won at Boston due to the big3. As a player he can Is mediocre and also as a coach. Yes !!!he is a great motivator. But I think the clippers need to move on and go in different direction.
Welcome.
Yeah, most of us feel the same way about Rivers however, Kawhi has final say whether he stays or goes. If the team starts out badly next year, the coach will be dismissed regardless of Kawhi’s opinion.
We really need a new coach in the worse way
Always go back to this to realize Doc is a piece of trash.
Where was this fire when we actually had expectations and Harrell was missing rotations? Where was this when the bench was falling apart or guys getting beat on cuts
Vogel mixing and matching to get the most out of his guys.
Lakers making the Finals has me heated!! Clippers are a sh*t organization for letting this happen.. F*CK!!!
I feel sick to my stomach what a heart break and the way they closed it out after the Nuggets made numerous runs and Vogel busting his ass to counter
I wouldn’t fret about it. They have Lebron. We have Rivers. One of them knows how to win. The other boasts like he’s a real champion. I have a feeling that this will only encourage the clippers to be even better next year. At least better than the lakers. Rivers knows that next year will be his last year if he screws up. Management is gonna have to put the right players around our 2 stars so, that it’ll be impossible for the head coach to screw up.
Laker fans can laugh until next year starts. Then it’ll be back to business with them underachieving and AD getting injured constantly. Lebron won’t be as motivated as this year. Clippers and other ball clubs will tear them a new a*****.
The silence from this joke of a franchise since their meltdown has been deafening. Just a profound level of disrespect for the longest-suffering fanbase in sports while we have to endure another gut-punch.
...said all Clipper fans for the last five seasons.
Enough is enough. This is still the same old Clippers. That's all they'll ever be as long as Ballmer is satisfied with mediocrity.
There’s definitely moves happening, but historically, we don’t leak anything to the press, that’s how we got Kawhi in the first place.
Underachieving? They're winning it all this season. We can't get past the second round no matter how stacked the team is. Now that's underachieving.
I’m talking about next year, bro. Lakers won’t even be a top 3 seed next year.
I despise the Lakers, but you are delusional. And even if they somehow aren't top 3 next year, they'll still have their millionth championship to console themselves with. And they'll still end up going further in the playoffs than this laughingstock of a franchise.
Laughing stock of a franchise? Have you noticed that the clippers made the postseason almost every year since the Lob city days? The Lakers haven’t made the playoffs since 2013.
Most franchises would kill to be in our situation. Laughingstock is back in the Michael olowakandi days. That era was suffering. This franchise is only considered a joke because this city is surrounded by Laker morons.

Yes, laughingstock of a franchise. I really couldn't care less about regular-season "success" when all it does is set us up for humiliating playoff collapses. Fifty years without so much as a conference finals appearance is pathetic. There isn't a single other franchise in the league who'd ever trade places with us and you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.
Your standards aren't very high if you think "making the postseason almost every year since Lob City" is worth celebrating. It's not very hard to make the playoffs in the NBA. The Doc era is actually more painful than the Olowokandi days because there's real expectations now that the franchise consistently fails to live up to.
As a Clippers fan...this is the type of arrogance that leads to 3-1 blown leads. Back to business?? One franchise might win a 17th championship and one franchise might keep the only coach who has ever blown multiple 3-1 leads. That is soft.
Something inside told me to hope and prey that the season doesn't restart. And now look, its been nothing but a total complete nightmare for us. We take twenty steps forward but end up fifty paces behind. It happens all the time for us. And there's nothing to say things will be different next season either. Warriors will be back and all the other teams in the West will be stronger. How do you go from title contenders to the ultimate laughing stock of the league in under a month's time??? Why in the f*ck does this keep happening to us?? What a f*cking joke!!!
No kidding. The only business the Clippers have ever been in is the business of finding new and creative ways to embarrass their fans. I guess in that sense, they're back to business. Certainly not in terms of actually winning anything.
No wonder Doc is never held accountable when there are fans like this who are just happy to make the playoffs. Imagine touting a playoff appearance like it's an accomplishment when you have Kawhi and PG.
Right.. Its obvious LeBron moves mountains for the team he's on. If sh*ts not going right he's going to call out himself, the front office, coaches, teammates, etc. to get the wins. We're too busy laughing on sidelines and playing mute while Doc trots the same lineups out unsuccessfully game after game after game. But don't count out Rivers for screwing something up no matter who we sign. This season told us everything

Idk man people are laughing at us pretty hard now and they usually end up laughing at use when we lose because of how we lose. I can’t think of a second round series in the Doc Rivers era that didn’t end in embarrassing fashion that we didn’t get humiliated. Even OKC game 5 embarrassment we were clowned for how we looked game 6 like we quit
I'm not enthused for next season. Nothing even remotely suggest that they'll be a new attitude or direction for the team to follow under. Can't believe they kneeled down and let this sh*t happen. Disgusting!!
No wonder Doc is never held accountable when there are fans like this who are just happy to make the playoffs. Imagine touting a playoff appearance like it's an accomplishment when you have Kawhi and PG.
First off, I never said I was content on how the clippers exited this year or any other year. What are you telling all of us? To give up our fandom? Expectations were really high this year and yet Rivers found a way to screw it up. Believe me, I’m frustrated like you and I was abhorrent to find out Rivers wasn’t getting the pink slip. I’m just not gonna have a bunch lakers honks ridicule me to change my colors.
So it begins again
We Are Not The Clippers is trending
Lol can’t do many other things going on. If the lakers win it i hope it’s quick the sooner the season is over the better. My only spiteful enjoyment is that laker fans won’t be able to celebrate at staples and a parade though likely will be stupid still overall
Stakes are high my friend. The Lakers raising banner #17 could possibly be a death blow to the perception of our team in LA. We didn't gain not one inch in love, credibility, and respect in the city while the Lakers were down during the Lob City era. Those teams crashed and burned every post season. And now we get Kawhi, PG, and a supporting cast and we go down to a far worst flameout? This is bad bro. Really bad for the franchise. I'm not even looking forward to next season at all.
What is even more damning and telling is the fact that first year HC Vogel with a revamped roster beat denver 4-1 and may raise banner 17. The team gelled day 1. Lakers fans may celebrate with Lebron and Dwight (two guys Lakers fans have hated for years). Now they love them. Makes me sick. Doc had a slightly revamped roster and enough time to figure out what lineups worked the best. He failed. And embrassed Clippers fans everywhere
