All Time Clipper Team

Clippers Forum » Clippers Multimedia

So this is the time of year where it gets boring in the basketball world and as someone stated in another thread it's become a ghost town here lol.

So to make things a little fun I would like to know who would be your guys all time clipper team. The rules are as fallowing if you pick Paul pierce for example it wouldn't be prime PP it would be the 38 old version we have now. I hope this makes it a little fun on here and here's my all time team.

C: Bob Macadoo- one of the best players of his generation he was a force to be recond with. He had it all as a C.

Backup: Deandre Jordan- one of the most athletic bigs this game has ever seen. Having his defensive presence as a back up center isint that's bad.

PF: hands down it goes to Blake Griffin I don't need to say much here Besides the fact that he literally does it all. And to me still have room to grow to be better.

Back up: Elton Brand- although people (myself included) have a grudge on this guy he played his best basketball with this team and he was our best player at one point and the face of this franchise.

SF: now I had trouble here cuz I know Danny manning played the four BUT I can't put him ahead of BG and Brand so i decided to put him at the 3 he has the length to be our starting 3

Back up: arguably one of my favorite clippers of all time Corey maggette I never thought that this guy got the credit he deserved amongst the league he was an underrated player for sure in my eye.

I don't want to make this to long to here go my SG

Randy smith as a starter

World b free as a reserve

I know Ima get flack for this but if we pacers lance and keep him long term and he plays his tanacious Defence maybe I would pick him as a the is string

Point God- CP3

Reserve I'm torn between Sam Cassel and Eric bledsoe

I guess I'll pick Sam for back up PG

looks like I'll be defending Deandre 'til my grave.... Mr. Green he starts over McAdoo, and it ain't close....

@backup pf I'll go w/Charles Smith, who fizzled in NY, but was money/our go to guy early on in his career for the Clipps. would also choose Terry Cummings before Brand.

and Manning played the 3 as Smith was our 4, both drafted the same year together, and.... Marques Johnson is the hands down backup here.

would slot Maggette in at off guard as it is alarming how many poor twos we've had over the years.... wasn't around/didn't follow the Buffalo Braves, so can't say one way or another on Randy Smith.... maybe he's a better pick than Maggs, and.... close call between Lloyd Free and Ron Harper ??

CP3 hands down, and.... Cassell over Bledsoe, and again.... not even close.... Bledsoe has become a better player post Clipperdom, but you can't compare his contribution to what Sam I Am did for us.

and will volunteer Larry Brown as best coach (and worst personnel person.... still bitter 'bout trading for Marc Jackson and Stanley "Hot Plate" Roberts), and.... will prolly get a lot of dissent here, as really liked Bill Fitch as Clippers coach, albeit he had nothing to work w/while he was here.

.

Don't get me wrong I love DJ and have backed him up plenty of times but to put him ahead of Mcadoo? I can't do that DJ still hasn't produced a good offeanive game (hope he does this year) and plus DJ still hasn't stopped growing as a player so who knows what's to come for DJ it could be that he has a complete break out season that's why I had him as my back up

And i too had Marques Johnson in mind but I felt that manning, world free b did too much for this team to be left off. Corey I just could leave off this team no matter what he's one of my top five favorite clippers of all time. I agree Sam did do a lot more for this team and that is why I picked him

How can this be an all-time Clipper team without Piatkowski?

Is this the all time greatest Clippers team based on their contribution to the Clippers? Because Dominique Wilkins and Bill Walton played for the Clippers. And so did Grant Hill and Chauncey Billups. But assuming this is only counting the years they were Clippers, my starting five would be:

PG: CP3

SG: World Be Free

SF: Danny Manning

PF: Blake Griffin

C: Bob Macadoo (playing small ball)
