Griffin will just have to admit he's a bad free throw shooter. There's nothing wrong with that. Just get his jump shots down and find other ways to contribute offensively. That's why....

The Mailman was a horrible shooter (including FT's) when he came into the league. He ended up being a very solid FT shooter and jump shooter for his career. It is very much possible ....

De Andre's problem was all in his head. He had great mechanice. Lawler mentioned this. He said DJ does great in practice. Hitting 3 for three jumpers isn't luck BG's form is atrocious. A no dribble FT??. After he dribbled his % went up because he improved wis form for a fer games then he went back to the same awful mechanics.. Stubborn ....

Here:::::::::: As a rookie, Blake Griffin shot a poor 64.2 percent from the free-throw line. He followed that up with an embarrassing 52.1 FT% last season. Not surprisingly, he spent a lot of time during the offseason trying to improve his shot; specifically, he has been trying to remove the hitch in his release, according to the Los Angeles Times' Baxter Holmes. Unfortunately, he proceeded to clank the first four free-throw attempts he took in the Los Angeles Clippers' first preseason game....

maybe he struggled so bad on sat because it seems he dislocated his index finger in practice on friday Blake Griffin said he dislocated his right index finger during practice Friday and again during Saturday's preseason game, but also says it's not a big deal and shouldn't stop him from playing against the Heat in China. Griffin is also working on eliminating the hesitation in his free throw shooting, although it was still there on Saturday. ....

No wonder he shot bad, and guys Jordan is in his 5th year and he's finally blossoming, Griffin's in his 3rd year! Give him a little more time! ....

i think he will get better..a lot of it is actually mental and there some to blame on his hitch...he doesnt really have an ugly form to his shot ....

Actually, his form is kind of ugly.

ive seen worse forms who shoot better...marion form is ugly but he shoots better..i mean blake shooting form isnt textbook but its not that bad looking where he should be shooting under 65% from the line ....

Yea Marion shoots over 80% from the FT line lol.

Honestly I think bet he is lights out in practice. It is completely a mental thing with Griffin. Mike and Ralph even said he lost his hitch in his free throws yet his first free throw he took it was back ....

There's definitely room for improvement...remember down by 3 with a minute left game 1 vs grizz and he knocked down 2 fts like it was nothing? Blake's just gotta toughen up mentally and absorb all the coaching and not be so stubborn ....

Free throws are one issue, but of upmost importance is his defense..big men are supposed to struggle at the charity line. Big men aren't suppossed to be bad at defense ....

He needs to use his knees,,he needs to stop that hitch. He needs to not worry about what we,,the scrutinizing fans that all think we could do better,, think either,, just do it. ....

Good I like to hear that. I wish I could have seen the game. I was at Dave and Busters at Arcadia and they wouldnt change the channel because a lot of people were watching MLB playoffs and colege football:( ....

he needs more rotation on his ft. if he just spun the ball and he was letting it go, he would easily shoot 70 percent at least. but im glad he is working on his d. he has the tools to be a good defender. ....

I'm interested to see how his free throw percentage will be next season.

I think it'll probably the same as his rookie season! Honestly I don't think we can predict much, with just one preseason under the belt! ....

Maybe he should take a few steps back... like, to 75ft. That shot at the scrimmage hit nothing but string. ....

He made a very far 2 in practice at the China mastercard center yesterday!

I would love him to surprise the world and move to 70%. Imagine how surprising that will be. ... great for us Clippers fans. Realistically I think he'll be in around least 60%..... ....

Hopefully he can be an average FT shooter for a PF, which was 71.8% last year. Just average is all we need....this year. ....

Just average is actually really good! That means for his 7 attempts every game he would make 5! That is Awesome! ....

I am pretty sure there was an article on DJ working on his free throw shooting as well. YAWN.

Yeah he actually shoots better than Griffin! YAWN!
