15 players on roster told you we would sign 15 players

Clippers Forum » Clipper Rumors

back about a month ago isaid clipeprs would sig na 15 player everyone knocled me for it but its all good. Anyhow my question is to those who know we have 15 players only one is non guaranted and that is travis leslie. Now do you cut him and sign adam morrison who will impress more than him or just cut leslie and leave the spot open.

Maybe we keep Leslie and cut him if need be, of an injury or something!

I made a poll about this a couple weeks ago. Think it's closed.

I like Adam Morrison because of his journey. A Gonzaga legend turned draft bust because of Michael Jordan. He was traded to the Lakers and earned two championships by doing nothing. He played overseas with Red Star Belgrades and Besitikas, where he learned the value of humility. Returned to the Nets Summer League, didn't make a dent. His breakout performance was with the Clippers Summer League. I said on the day he slaughtered the Celtics, he has to be with the Clippers. He is the symbol of redemption, somebody that Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups could definitely tutor.

The addition of Matt Barnes has shot all hope for Morrison to join the Clippers. The only way he can get in now is by taking Travis Leslie's spot come training camp. The other way would be to join the Clippers by way of 10-day contracts. He'll have to prove his worth again during the regular season, and I think that's exactly what's going to happen.

Or maybe a trade is gonna happen and we'll have a spot for him!

Travis Leslie went from partially to fully guaranteed on July 1. That's it, we're done, put a fork in the "who else we should get" threads. Unless it's a trade proposal, it now cannot happen.

I would personally love to get Iggy! But we don't have the necessary pieces to get him which sucs, we should probably make some room in 2013 for another star at sg or sf!

Adam Morrison ain't happening for the Clips. Good story or not, we got the much better all a round player for the last roster spot in Barnes.

He may become a JAMmer.

I think LAC will start the season with 14. Leslie might get the boot.

I understand. And there is a bright side to Matt Barnes over Adam Morrison: the Clippers now have their own version of Ron Artest, something this team never had in their franchise history.

Im afraid Leslie will most likely not make the team. I think him getting hurt in summer league really hurt his chances.

On a side note I cant understand the love affair with adam morrison. Its so funny, the guy has done nothing, no other team has yet to invite him to camp. Once again its Adam Morrison how do you guys really even care if he is on our team. If he was good before his injury in the NBA then I would kind of understand. But he sucked before the injury robbed him of his snail speed.

Might want to wait till the end of the off season dude. We'll most probably end up with 14 players, as usual

??? Matt Barnes was a clipper before....

Probably wasn't so much of a d!ck before, but he matured into one as he grew older and wiser! Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_04 Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_04 Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_04

As someone that has only followed these guys for a couple of decades,,I will take 14 as the magic number to start the season. 2 players will go,,1 new one will come in.

Guys, we have 15 guaranteed contracts on the roster right now. Nobody is leaving, nobody new is coming in. Unless you think we're going to bust the luxury tax limit, that is. And yes, Leslie is now guaranteed 100% (as of July 1).

From ClipperBlog:

Quote:
This would bring the Clippers’ 2012-13 salary total to $69,866,604, still below the luxury tax line of $70.307m. Barring some unreported change to Travis Leslie’s deal (his deal, in theory, went from partially guaranteed to fully guaranteed on July 1), all 15 contracts would be guaranteed. There are now no available roster spots.

This is Barnes' second go around with this team no? Shiat just got brighter!

IWhy do many people think we'll cut Leslie, I feel for him, cause he's pretty good with an EBled style of play with energy, too bad we have to many guards!
