I was looking forward to watching Reed Shepherd, Rob Dillingham and Antonio Reeves but that went up in smoke after last night. I did like Reeves' game and numbers. His stock should rise with that good performance. Moves well without the ball and has a quick release on his catch and shoot
Cody Williams in playing for 10th seeded Colorado against 7th seeded Florida. A good outing and upset of a higher seed could help his stock
Likewise, Zach Edey could drop if his top seeded Boilermakers get shocked by Grambling. What we need to watch out for is how he moves his feet. The big knock on him is that he's just too slow for the NBA. If he can slide and move his feet on defense as well as maybe knock down a couple mid range jump shots, he could improve his stock
Back to Williams, let's also monitor his motor. He's been known to coast at times. Sort of new version of Andrew Wiggins
Tristan Da Silva is a projected 2nd rounder for Colorado whose stock could go up with a nice outing
The Dayton vs Arizona matchup has a couple more projected 2nd rounders as well who could see their stock rise. DaRon Holmes for Dayton while Pelle Larson and Keshod Johnson of Arizona are risers to look out for
I was also looking forward to a player that I've monitored for over a year and that's Kevin McCullar of Kansas but he's hurt so keep an eye on Johnny Furphy from Kansas via Australia
Good info. I should have started this thread a few days ago, even before the start of the NIT, in case there were some players from that tourney too.
Can you post the day / time some of the upcoming games these players are in, will play?
Colorado with Williams and Da Silva play on TBS at 1:30 PST today
Purdue plays at 4:25 on TBS
I forgot to mention Kyle Filipowski of Duke. He could cement himself as a lottery pick with a good performance. They play at 4:10 on CBS
Dayton and Arizona are on CBS tomorrow morning at 9:45 followed by Kansas and Gonzaga at 12:15 also on CBS
Thanks, that helps a lot.
I forgot how terrible commercials are for these big corporate sporting events.
Miller Lite; Taco Bell Cantina; Home Depot commercials were all average.
What I mean is that considering we're going to be seeing them for the next 3.5 weeks, they weren't that good.
I guess it's been months since the MLB playoffs, so there hasn't been a big event like that, since, for commercials. Over an extended multi week period of time.
I thought all conference winners got a spot in the NCAA tourney.
How come some didn't?
The last steal by Bradley on Arizona was awesome.
Has ESPN usually aired the NCAA Womens tourney?
Reason I ask is because this is the first year I'm paying more attention to the TV networks.
Pretty cool how Iowa with Caitlin Clark is on ESPN at 5 PM PST, and then USC with Juju Watkins is on 7 PM PST on ESPN.

Good question. I would imagine so. I miss the old days of ESPN having the 1st and 2nd round on ESPN before having CBS take over the entire tournament from the Sweet 16 on
Keep posting things to watch for.
Zach Edey has been impressive. Definitely watch him this Saturday. I root for him if for no other reason than to see some semblance of the post game return to the NBA
UConn has lots of prospects although most are 2nd round projections. Stephon Castle is a combo guard who could be in the lottery while I've seen big man Donovan Clingan mocked anywhere from the lottery to the 2nd round. I root for him as well for the same reason I do Edey
Alex Karaban, Tristan Newton and Cam Spencer are possible 2nd rounders
In the Womens tourney, I thought both games yesterday were great. Tough loss for USC fans. 4th quarter wasn't great for USC.
Are there more tie ups in college basketball than the NBA?
If so, why?
