Got a Most Memorable Moment or moments? Please, post here! My Most Memorable Moment is when Corey Maggette hit a Game-Winning Three-Pointer withe 2.7 seconds to go in the 2nd Overtime against the Miami Heat (January 2005). Truly UNFORGETTABLE!!! This thread is worthless without videos! Relive it: That's truly UNFORGETTABLE.. It got me goosebumps. Speakin' of Maggette, what's your take on his greatest game?? I haven't even mentioned Maggette's career night against the Lakers at the end of the 2006-'07 season, when he scored 39 points to secure a 118"110 victory after recovering from a 17-point deficit: Maggette Nets Career-High 39 Pts as Lakers....

Also check out this list: First installment of the Clippers All-Decade series. What's your take on the Clippers Most Dramatic Regular-Season Buzzer-Beater of the Decade (2000-'09)? The nominees are: 1.) Maggette vs. Miami Heat, January 2005: Corey Maggette hit an off-balance 23-footer with half a second left in the second overtime to give the Los Angeles Clippers a 114-112 victory over Miami. His dramatic shot from the right sideline overshadowed a 39-point, 10-rebound performance by the Heat's Shaquille O'Neal.: 2.) Glen Rice vs Dallas, December 2003: G-Money killed the Mavs with 1.4 seconds to go: 3.) Maggette @ LA Lakers, December 2007: Maggette flungs the ball at....

Wow all of these brought great memory..Wasn't Novaks in 2009 and Barons in 10? Either way Glen Rices was crazy..and Cats we were up 18 lost the lead and won on tnt! My vote goes to that. That miami one was a sick game to, shaq qade mourning tough squad.

I gotta give a shout out to Boom Dizzles game winner against the Heat

Sam Cassel in 2005 -2006. Nothing has been better until this season 2011-2012 and these LA Clippers!!!

boston celtics you mean

2005-2006 sam was with the clippers. We reached the Western Conference Semi- Finals. Where the hell did you get the Boston Celtics. Sam was traded 2 years later to the Celtics. Are you a Faker?

um... i know that thanks though. read it over, i was talking about something else

HOneslty,,I can't remember regular season when this was,,it was a while ago,,maybe pre Elton, not sure. It was a game against Phoenix and we were getting pounded (as was usual) but the team dug in and took it into overtime. I think we had a double or maybe a triple overtime but eventualy won. Clipper Nation had not yet been invented, the place was sold out with moslty Suns fans,,,and it was the best feeling.

But the overall best was the first game in the playoffs against Denver when we of course won. I had never been to an NBA playoff game in my life and my Lord the energy and the excitement was unsurpassed of any game I have ever been to. I went to all the home playoff games but tha first one was just so different then anything else.

I remember being at game 5 against the Nuggets when the Clippers won that series. That atmosphere that night was amazing. To this day I still get cheers with the way the crowd erupted when the Clippers won!

I also remember being at a game when they did a half court shot in between the third and 4th, but before they let the guy shoot, they had a cheerleader take the shot backwards. She nailed the shot and the crowd went nuts. The shot was all over Sportscenter for a couple weeks.

Also to this day nothing beat Q Rich hitting those 3 pointers and raising the antennas!!

im not cool enough to post yet.

BUT CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST THAT SWEET ODUMB TO DARIUS MILE OOP!!!

"NO d miles, q rich, odumb = me not ever jumping on the clipper ship

nevermind Paolo already got it!! NICE!!

one of the first things that jumped out of my memory bank.

Oh,,you wnated faovriet Corey moments,,,Guess I should read.

Forget all the fantastic plays he did for us,,one of my favorite moment was when he was a Warrior. I was still a STH and then they gave us a free courtside upgrades once a season as a perk. We were sitting baseline in the front row on the side of the court Clipper Daryl sits on. Corey draws a foul and goes to the line. OF course right before his first shot Daryl is trying to get the crowd to heckel him. He makes his free throw and lines up to make his next one. Daryls yells out "I love you Corey". Magette starts to shoot and as he draws the ball back to shoot he yells from the free throw line right back "I love you too Daryl". Then drops his free throw. I thought that was cool.

Um hello

the length of the court pass by rooks

Odom catches it mid air at the ft line facing away from the basket

Twists mid air for the no look lob

Miles with the dunk. Game sealed. Dagger

Honorable mention: snapping that 18 game losing streak to start the season,at home vs the kings. Watching lorenzen wright pump his fist and hug Derrick Martin at the half court line.

Clipper management breaking up what would have been a very competitive and entertaining San Diego Clipper team, and all they had to show for it afterwards was a one legged broken down Bill Walton.

What season was that? Got any video link? Smile

This is a no brainer for me. The greatest Clipper game was the playoff game in 1992

against the Jazz that was played at the Anaheim convention Center because of the riots.

I have NEVER been to a game that loud. Doc Rivers and Ron Harper went nuts for the

Clips. The Clips eventually blew a big lead in game 5 at Utah, but that was the best game

I have ever been to as far as pure energy. I couldnt hear for a week.

^ Gary, I googled it and here's what I found:

"After seven seasons the Clippers qualify for the postseason for the first time since moving to Los Angeles with a 45 and 37 record.. The Clippers would face the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs. The Jazz win the first two games of the series in Utah but the Clippers rally to win the next two games in Los Angeles to send the series to a decisive game five. The Jazz would win game five by a score of 98 to 89 to take the series in five games."

I wish I could see some photos, video clips.. Sad

EDIT:

I found a story with pics at the Clippers official site: The Wild Ride Continues - Looking back at the Clippers' 1992-93 Playoff Team

Mark Aguirre hit a game winner/buzzer beater way back in 92? 93? I was at that game under the lovely dimmed yellowish lighting of the Sports Arena.

Quentin Richardson going for 44 points against the Denver Nuggets in the 03-04 season. That was my first FULL season as a Clipper fan as I believe that was the first or second season we got our aways games played on KTLA 5 haha

Most memorable for me is Steve Novak game winner against the Nets in 2009.

It was most memorable to me because I was there and the place erupted!

The First round of the 2005-06 Playoff series against the Nuggets(4-1). I was at Staples every home game, the atmosphere was electric and we won the series.

So that was my most memorable moment being a Clippers fan. Been able to be apart of something special.

heck yes. still have the rally towel - except that one was at the sports arena since it was the day BEFORE the riots started.

The Game Ron Harper as a Clipper had against Micheal Jordan. He scored 44 points and held Jordan to 19 points. That was the best day as a clipper. Prior to Ron Harpers Injury. I thoght he was going to be the next MJ until Ron Harper injured his Knee a week later..

With 33 points scored already in the bank , Harper, who had just been named NBA Player of the Week , He Injures his leg - Awful.

and of Course everything Sam Cassel did...

if you like novak check out his reaction to lin's shot.

classic novak

I think that Steve Novak was one the best 3 point shooter the Clipper ever had.

Vladmir had his best year when he was a Clipper. Lamond Murray was a great 3 point shooter and than Eric P...

^ Eric P > Novak. Just my .02...

My favorite Corey Maggette moment was when he was with GS. That year,as a STH,not many showed up for games so for one game in the season we could get an upgrade to courtside seats (baseline). I sat in the front row against GS. Same side Clipper Daryl sits on. Corey gets fouled and goes to the FT line,, just before he shoots Daryl yells out "I love you Corey". As he goes through his motion,,right when he releases the ball he yells back "I love you too Daryl" and of course the ball goes in. I just thought that was a cool moment, him interacting with someone in the crowd in a friendly manner.

Still dislike DTS for that move,,made no sense why he didn't keep Corey. He was an obvious fan favorite and loved the team.

Yeah, same here. DTS should've kept Corey....

....and the most memorable moment each year, is when I say, "Well, we'll see how things go next year". Clipbored.

Ok, not exactly a CM50 moment but Corey had a huge participation - grabbing the offensive rebound that led to Glen Rice's game-winner against Dallas in 2003-'04. That was unforgettable!!

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200312100LAC.html

Only pics I could find of it:

Was just browsing the board and came across this... Amazing thread!! Maggette's double OT game-winner was unforgettable.. Defender in his grill, 2 OTs, game on the line.... CRAZY!! I miss Corey!

^^Welcome to CTB, BabooSmurf! I don't remember that particular one, but yeah Maggette was something during his prime- loved to attack the basket and draw fouls.

For me it has to be the 1992 playoffs, game 4 during the LA riots, played in Anaheim. Ralph was going hoarse at the end of the emotional game which the Clippers won to stave off elimination. It was unbelievable- I will never forget it. Doc Rivers played a big part in that game actually. In 2006, Game 6 win against the Phoenix at Staples Center when the out-gunned Clippers played amazing defense against Steve Nash and the 3 point bombs-away Suns, also comes to mind immediately. It was such a credit to their individual & team effort to rotate and cover each other on defense- it was amazing. Mike Dunleavy was the coach then.

  1. The night the ping pong balls went our way and we landed the number one pick that would become Blake Griffin.

  2. Shawn Livingston injury. I was there and unfortunately it's something I'll never forget.

  3. The Raja Bell three pointer over Daniel Ewing.

I could go on and on and unfortunately there are more bad memories than there are good ones.

Not as emotional as the ones you guys mention but you guys remember that end of the clock 3 DJ made against Dallas lol I went crazy that time

The one event I will never forget is Tony Brothers hugging KD's mother then delivering her a wrapped-in-dishonesty playoff victory. It might be a bad memory, but surely unforgettable. Second was CP3 injury shot that eliminated the Spurs. Third was the 18 point debacle against Josh Smith. (Fourth might be Josh doing in again!)

In no particular order...

  1. Corey Maggette's game-winner vs. Miami in Feb. '05

  2. The '92 playoff game in Anaheim vs. Utah

  3. 3/7/2014: Clips 148, Lakers 94

  4. The Denver playoff series from '06

  5. Griffin's buzzer-beating 3-pointer vs. the Suns last season

My favorite CM moment has nothing to do with anything spectacular.

  1. Corey isn't a Clipper. Crowds have dwindled greatly because the 2006 team didn't win the Finals. ST holders are dwindling so to keep us in the fold, one of the perks we got was a court-side upgrade to a game, no matter where our seats were. So I had a court-side seat to see the Warriors. Seat was right in the corner , near the area where Clipper Daryl sits.

Corey is getting ready to shoot free throws. He makes the first. Daryl yells out at him "I still love you Corey". As Maggette winds up to let the second one go he yells out "I still love you too Daryl". Nothing but net.

Wow.. #2 and #3 are really negative ones. What about your Positive Most memorable in-game moment?

I remember i went to a game, forgot what year, but the nuggets had anthony and a good squad and i remember we were down 1 20 seconds left and baron davis drove and kicked out to camby for 3. It went in and out and i was pissed, but it was still exiciting. Favorite memory is probably billups game winning triple vs dallas. That was a nice shot.
