Most memorable season in recent memory?

Clippers Forum » Clippers News & General Discussions

I know..we had high expectations early in the season...and we started off horribly....but i was thinking today that this has been one of the most entertaining Clippers season in recent memory, largely in part due to Blake Griffin. I mean lets not forget here guys, HE IS A ROOKIE, this is his first year. Its surreal and sometimes I forget haha

Although the playoffs are an unrealistic goal this season, I think its fair to say this has been the most exciting Clippers season since our playoff run. (Together with all the new Clippers fans, the media coverage, All Star Weekend, Blake being named an all-star, and all the memorable moments in game , like when Blake stared down Chalmers, ..)

Agree? Disagree?

The whole season has been memorable to me especially since i been to every home game n I'm still a season tic holder but i have to say the game against the knicks was the best one even though it ended with a loss, i feel like we won cuz we all saw blake griffin that night transform into a BEAST

I agree, this is definitely a very memorable season. In fact, I think it's the most entertaining for me since the 2000 team (which I think was: ODOM, SKINNER, OLOWOKANDI, MCINNIS, RICHARDSON, MAGGETTE, ROOKS, DOOLING, PIATKOWSKI, MILES, PARKS, STRONG). That was also a losing season, but highly entertaining. And, it was my first season-ticket year, which I am sure plays a part in why it is so memorable for me.

Playoff year and the year after were my fav seasons in recent memory. This one is great, but you cannot argue with a playoff spot and when we were battling for the playoffs.

The most amazing thing about this game besides ALL the highlights is that Blake was keeping us in the game. That one where he spun and threw it down on Gallinari drew us within 5 if i remember correctly? I know it doesnt matter now but i feel if we would have had a guy like Mo Williams back then we would have won that game...

Oh maaan I remember Cherokee Parks. haahah Jeff Mcinnis was great. The guy always made nice passes, and had a nice mid range game I wonder whatever happened to him Embarassed

Yeah those years were so great. Makes me optimistic that we can get back to that level. And we lost, but we did not go without a fight and I always admired the guys for that. We fought till the end....soooo close to the Western Conference Finals Shocked

Being an immigrant, I've only really supported the Clips since '04, but this team excites me WAY more than the '06 playoff roster. Back then, we were efficient, but a little boring (seriously, compare our entertainment value to that of the '06 Suns).

Seeing the team we currently have assembled, I can't help but think that soon, we'll have it all... a team that can go places, but still put us on he edge of our seats.

For me, the '11-'12 Clippers are the most memorable team in our history...

Gimme some more of that Clipper flavored Kool-aid!
