Clippers say Blake Griffin's ankle injury isn't serious

Clippers Forum » Clippers News & General Discussions
Clippers say Blake Griffin's ankle injury isn't serious Griffin sprained his left ankle Saturday against the Utah Jazz and did not play in the Clippers' 108-104 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. Coach Vinny Del Negro expects Griffin to play Tuesday. Last preseason: Blake Griffin injured. This preseason: Griffin injured. That's where the similarities end. Just in case Griffin's ankle injury and absence from Sunday's exhibition game seem alarming for Clippers fans, it should be remembered, of course, that not all injuries are created equal. With Griffin's knee injury last season, it became fairly clear within a day that it was a serious one....

thanks for the info Joe.

I think most people who have played hoops can relate to a sprained ankle and how quick it is easy to recover with some rest and rehab.

Get well soon Blake!

I think that we can all agree that the only signing that we do not like is the randy foye signing....

Hopefully warren will take his spot at backup Guard.. Bledsoe i think just needs to cut down on the turnovers.. he didnt do 2 bad...

Cook thow seems like a good signing for the cash we gave him he seems like a good catch and man he can shoot!

Yep. I've sprained my ankle playing hoops more times than I can remember. Even the couple times it got crazy swollen and turned purple, I was usually back playing again within a week after icing consistently, etc. Although we've been mislead about Clipper injuries before, I buy that this one isn't too serious. (Of course, I'll feel better when I see Blake is playing tomorrow).

^Blake Griffin was throwing dunks and chest bumps with his teammates during the pregame last night....the dude is fine.

^^^ Good to know. Thanks.

Hopefully VDN sits him and Baron for the rest of the preseason. We'll need both of these guys on the 27th. lol

Baron needs to play starter minutes tomorrow. He has played less than any of our starters. I'd sit Griffin just to insure he starts our first game of the season...Ya never know.

If anything E-Bled & Foye need more PT since we all know that Baron will always need an early rest night in and night out.

Agreed. I really like Foye's game.
