Clippers vs. Thunder Game Day 2026-04-08
Clippers Forum » Clippers Game DayClips having a tough time converting inside, and unable to get stops. Down 19-9. Much needed 3 there as DJJ drills the bingo.
Clippers able to get their offense going a little better, as well as show better defensive intensity to close the Q, down 34-23.
Big 3's by Batum and now Miller- cuts it to 9. But it just feels Clippers have to work harder on offense, and still forced to take lower % looks
Clippers simply unable to contain dribble penetration, and on offense it feels like they're playing 5 on 10 as they're constantly having to deal with multiple defenders swiping and bumping.
What a sequence by Kawhi- steal, behind the back on the break and jam! Cuts it to 18
Lopez the corner bingo, now DJJ the catch and shoot 3- it's down to 13!
Good 3rd Q by the Clips as they cut it to 14. Got a chance now in the 4th. Win or lose, this is an excellent tuneup for the huge game on Friday vs the Pacers.
Misses by the Clips, and more 3's by Joe and the game is pretty much out of reach. Liking Sanders' play though- able to switch and guard Holmgren, and now drills the bingo with a Batum-like quick release
Mathurin who had been great at drawing fouls, not just can't buy a call
Isaiah Joe is quite the weapon for OKC- just a deadly 3 point shooter. That's a nifty euro step layup by Christie!
welp... looks like a blowout

Also we should not be tuning up (rather, tuning down) to play a 9 seed team... We should expect to beat these teams and we should be tuning UP (emphasis on UP) to play our first round match up, which may very likely be these OKC Thunder.
I do not expect us to beat them in a 7 game series, but getting a season sweep? average score of 126 to 106? Are they 20 points better than us?
