Virginia - Duke cutting into game time.
ESPN showed a graphic of Doug Christie playing for the Kings and Clippers.
Did not remember that.
I can remember Jason Hart and Von Wafer playing for the Clippers, but not Christie.
Wait, Von Wafer played 1 game. I must have remembered him just from the NBA in general, not necessarily the Clippers.
Kings scoring 31 points and 18 points in the paint, in the first quarter, against the Clippers, is soft by the Clippers.
Clippers are not playing like it's a playoffs game.
Clippers allowed the Kings to shoot 67% in the first half. Turnovers didn’t help either. Guys gotta really turn up the D in the second half to win this.
82 - 69 Kings, early in the 3rd.
Lackluster defense by the Clippers, lackluster rebounding, turning it over too much.
Kings capitalizing on a lot of Clippers mistakes.
Don't think the Clippers can turn it around. It takes a team defensive effort, and they don't look like they can make that kind of an adjustment.
A 3 point game is back down to 6 after a Westbrook 3.
But I'm satisfied that the Clippers have a chance to win now. Considering that they have spent most of the game playing bad.
We're on a back to back. Kawhi got hurt. Garland and Collins haven't played together yet.
The Kings played above their pay grade. All that being said, I can't stand losses like this.
We played tired. Chicago gave us more fight than we expected, and we look gassed...
Oh, well. Onward n' upward. Kawhi's streak is alive... and we're still over .500
Highlights:
Missed the game- just saw the highlights. The defense was SOFT, especially in the first half. Getting beat consistently on the pick and roll, and just conceding layups instead of fouling. Got crushed on the boards too 48-35. Clips I think have the worst record on the end of B2B's, and the lack of intensity and focus on D showed. Lopez, who's been really good, laid an egg, though it's not too unexpected given his age on the second of the B2B. DJJ, who's been superb, had an off-night as well.
Though credit the Kings- they shot lights out and hit quite a few 3's, including during crunch time. It was a valiant comeback by the Clips lead by Garland/Math/Jackson, but DeRozan, Achiuwa and Raynaud were unstoppable. They made *32 out of 40* shots = 80%. That's really rare for a trio of players to do that, each making 10 or 11 buckets and missing only 2 or 3.
Hopefully Kawhi's ankle injury isn't too serious, but he might be out for several games it seems.
