Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

Please post your predictions for the game against the Suns. What must the Clippers do earn a win? Which Suns player should Los Angeles focus the D on? Will the game be bombs away by both teams or first to 100 gets the W? Which match-ups are you looking forward to seeing?

Harden is out for personal reasons…ouch!

No Harden, no problem thus far. Twin tower working well as Lopez with the drop step inside to Zu for the slam

They double Kawhi who dishes inside to Zu, to the cutting Collins who gets another slam! Timeout Suns as the Clippers now up 35-22.

Wow Collins gets clobbered as he had the offensive rebound, no call, and they run the other way for a 3.

Kawhi is doing an excellent job driving and kicking- 2 great looks from the corners by Collins and Dunn there just didn't go in.

Collins the big time move inside for the reverse as the clock winded down

Vintage Klaw there- crossover to split the double team, into the paint for the 2 hand jam!

Suns making a run here as the Clippers continue to miss 3's, and PHX is sharp from deep

Game is tied at 42 now as the Clippers continue to brick or turn the ball over. Big floater and 1 by Dunn there.

That's a wacky play there. Lopez blocks the Ighodoro and they called a foul, and the ball rolls in AFTER Ighodoro hangs on the rim. So no basket and it's Clipper ball- successful challenge. GREAT block by Lopez.

Clips up 49-43 at the half after that Dunn layup. Gonna be a battle in the second half- this is a must win as they don't have Booker.

Clips a nice 3rd so far with Zu and Collins leading the way. Zu with the and 1 through the lane 1v1! Before that, a big bingo from the corner by Lopez as the Clips going with the twin towers configuration again.

Sharp shooting by the Suns from deep keeping them in it. They're like 47% from deep but less than 30% on 2's

Lol Clippers getting all the offensive rebounds right now with this big lineup. Zu is taking a seat now.

Jordan Miller a great job drawing fouls, though just need to work on those FTs some more

Clippers with a terrific 3rd, lead 85-71. Extended the lead even after Kawhi left with about 6 minutes to go.

What a move by Lopez on the iso- 2 giant steps for the reverse and 1!

It's Miller time- step back bingo, and the Clippers lead by 20

Now Kawhi out of the double, to Miller again for the bingo!

Clips are DOMINATING now as the 3's are falling, opening up the court, and KL to Lopez for the reverse dunk

Leonard so strong just powers through that rake and line drives in the 6 footer

Lol that's like 4 offensive rebounds by the Clippers in one possession- great hustle by Zu inside as he earns a trip to the line

They grab Miller up top, no foul, no matter as he drives in and floats it in

Brooks and Dunn getting into it a bit as Brooks keeps hitting Dunn on those drives, and yet the refs keep calling fouls on Dunn

Bizarre how Kawhi was snubbed for the All Star game despite his tremendous season- some weird favoritism going on. Hopefully he gets in after another player is unable to go.

Clips empty the bench up 108-91 with 3 minutes to go. Really good bounce-back win on the road w/o Harden. Everybody played well- very focused execution results in the team win, lead by Kawhi, Zu (20 rebounds!), Collins, and the bench play by Miller, Lopez & Batum. Sanders did a good job too playing in place of the Beard.

Zu getting the post game interview, and says he's really enjoys the double big combo when he's out there with Lopez. I think in the limited time we've seen that setup, it has worked well as you're always guaranteed good rim protection even of one of them is drawn out to the 3 point line.

I can't believe they did that when the game is at Intuit.

The double Big lineup was fun.

Oso smoked Lopez to the rim on one possession for a dunk, but other than that it was actually fairly effective.

I'm not really sold on running that lineup without a real Point or Combo Guard. We're still suceptible to heavy ball pressure.
