Clippers at Raptors Game Day 2026-01-16

Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

How will the Clippers do in the game against the Raptors? What are the Clippers keys to get a win? Which Raptors player should L.A. be wary of? Will the game be bombs away by both teams or first to 100 gets the W? Which match-ups are you looking forward to seeing?

No Kawhi, and the Clippers are trying to extricate themselves from a big deficit. Slowly but surely it' down to 8.

Ty Ty Washington making his debut for the Clips. Cam Christie and Kobe Brown called upon as well here in the second Q.

Nice dish Harden to Miller inside, Clips cut it to 5 again

Now Harden an airball inside but Zu snatches it and puts it in- down to 3

The Beard way off- airballs the open 3, now just 2 of 12.

Clips fade a bit and end up down 9 at the half. The way this is going- it's going to be tough if Harden isn't able to get a lot more.

Good start- Dunn just rips it away from Barnes, and Harden rattles in the bingo!

Sanders 2 FTs put the Clippers UP 1 after a bunch of stops and a Miller bingo. Good hustle by Zu too chasing down that loose ball.

Now Miller on the break, looks off the defender for 2!

The Beard now joins in on the fun with his own running banker

Clips are back down 9 after bricks and quick attacks by the Raptors. That Is a big bingo by Miller to cut it back to 6.

Harden a couple of good passes but the Clips unable to convert- Niederhauser misses the dunk and now Lopez misses the corner 3.

Another turnover- that's 6 in the Q, and another fastbreak for Toronto.

Tough bounces as Harden & Washington's 3's go in and out- Clips down 11 going into the 4th

How about Zu AND Lopez out there together

Christie a good fake and layup, now gets fouled on the nice drive and dish by Lopez

A big time move by Miller there spinning away from the double and hits the turaround J in the lane. Now Lopez the corner bingo, and it's a 2 point game!

What a funky lineup and what a great result thus far lol. Lopez, Zubac, Miller, Washington and Christie.

The Twin Towers doing a great job contesting the drives by the Raptors

Miller is the go-to guy here. He eurosteps into the lane, fires it to Christie who calls bingo!

I don't know why the Clippers didn't challenge because it looked more like an offensive foul by Barnes there

OMG now they rake Lopez's arm and call a jumpball instead. Somehow Lopez loses the jumpball and they run out for a layup putback- good hustle by Washington though to block the initial shot.

Not sure how you can win shorthanded, on the road, and can't get calls.

Now Miller gets bodied to the ground, no call, and they run the other way again for another layup

The young guys are looking great. Miller, Sanders, Christie, and Niederhausen. Every pick matters. This is why you don't underestimate the value of picks.

What a pass Harden to Zu for the lefty slam! Down to 4

Clippers get burned again as Shead gets another assist on the back cut.

For sure. Clippers have a done a really job finding these guys and developing them. Had Diabate too and should've kept him. Miller and Sanders are looking especailly good as they're capable on both ends.

Harden layup, then tremendous D by Dunn to strip Ingram. Now Harden the jab step and another layup!

Harden takes Agbaji to school, can tie it at the line, and does!

They call an illegal pick on Dunn, but replay shows that it was a plain old screen- what's wrong with that? A lot of acting by Barnes there.

Pfffft unsuccessful and the Clips lose a precious timeout

That was out on Ingram and they call a jump ball WTH. Thankfully Zu wins the tap.

Harden looks like he was fouled but no call. Overtime!

Harden forcing Ingram to foul him twice, drills 4 FTs and the Clips lead 113-109 to start OT

Harden to Zu to Miller- bingooooo!

The Beard, elbow jumper over Mamukelashvili is pure. But Barnes keeps them in it with his isolation post play.

Harden 3's no- Harden 2's, yes! Ingram misses again and the Clippers are up 3 with 22 seconds to go and have the ball.

Kobe Sanders can clinch it for the Clips here at the line.

Kobe misses the first, drills the second! 4 point game, 121-117 with 7 ticks left.

WHAT A WIN, especially without Kawhi and vs a tough team! Clippers looked like they were in trouble, but the young guys, Zu, defense of Dunn, and then the Beard's clutch plays down the stretch in the 4th & OT able to get the job done.

Harden despite struggling badly, was able to take command late as the Raptors chose not to double him because they fear the 3 point shooting of the Miller & Sanders.

I'd actually give the game ball to Jordan Miller. He played *45* minutes, had 19-6-4 on 8 of 11 shooting, and lead the team with a +20. Zu with 16 & 14- grabbing so many giant rebounds. Dunn was big on offense too with 15 points, and Sanders some good minutes himself, having to defend Barnes a lot and chipped in 13 points.

What a win! Both sides were depleted.

Now they can get a much needed 2 days rest.

No way we should consider trading Zu anytime soon! That guy is very valuable in the paint and not everything he does shows up in the stats. He is young too and shows pretty much every day.

Feeling good watching them win after win after win!

Go Clippers!

100% Clips should not trade Zu unless it's just too good of an offer to turn down. Team is really gelling, so keep it as is.

BTW forget to mention that Cam Christie was big too- 16 points and 5 rebounds in 20 active minutes. Great hustle by the young fella joining Miller & Sanders in the Clipper youth resurgence in this game.

Lately, it's been such a great reciprocal relationship between the young guys, James, and Kawhi.

We're to the point where we can roll out our entire bench without being drowned in under 25 bloopers.

Kawhi, Collins, DJJ, Bogi.... all sitting, and we just leaned on our vet bigs and the young players....

....and James took us home at the end of regulation and into overtime.

I mean, we match up well with the Raptors, but another nice win.
