Clippers vs. Wizards Game Day 2026-01-14

Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

Please post your predictions for the upcoming contest vs. the Wizards. The guys must do what well to get the win? Which Wizards player should Los Angeles be wary of? Will the game be first to 115 points or first to 100 gets the W? Are there any injury/player availability updates?

Hmmm John Collins and Zubac not playing... Sanders and Lopez starting.

How about Brook Lopez the drive- 2 big steps and the slam beating his man off the dribble!

It's Middleton 7, Clippers 2 early.

Great sequence there. Kobe the bingo, Lopez the contest, and the Klaw the fastbreak bingo! Clips now up 15-9.

What a perfect 60 foot pass by Harden to Lopez out in front on the break!

Miller the steal, the euro step and 1!

Niederhauser with the early call with Zu out. Perfect work with Harden on the PNR for the monster slam!

How about Yanic the spin, drive and then the reverse- very nimble and quick.

Excellent first Q by the Clippers lead by Harden with 13, up 37-22.

They trap Kawhi and he dishes it to the open Niederhauser- BOOM!

Clippers are just getting whatever they want on offense- easy floaters in the lane, layups or open 3's.

Sanders tried to dunk on Sarr there who blocks it, but it rolls in anyways

Tries again though and this one was fully blocked lol

Sarr has been ejected after his second tech where he just bounced the ball super high after they call a foul on him on the Lopez drive. Not sure if that deserved a tech but rules are rules.

With the way Miller is playing- not just on offense, but he's also doing a nice job on D and rebounding, he has earned his spot in the rotation.

At the half, Clips all over the Wiz 70-51.

Clips sputtering here in the 3rd. Airball 3's and not moving the feet on D, and the lead is down to 8. Ty Lue has to call another timeout.

Always good to hear commentary from Brent "Bones" Barry

Clipper offense has been reduced to chucking 3's, and they're not falling

Clips get beat again in the perimeter, has to commit another foul

Sneaky move there by Miller, pushes it back to 5, but Keyshawn George is on fire and hits another, this time a 3, and it's down to 2.

Buckets by Niederhauser and now a big bingo by Batum, and the Clippers lead by 7 at the end of 3. Definitely wasn't a good quarter though- probably the worst 3rd Q in the last 6 or 7 games for the Clips.

Christie 1 v 4 on the break not a good idea

Clips cruise to the finish on the heels of a couple of bingos by Kawhi. Nice win- not gonna play your A game all the time, but it's important to find a way to ward off inferior teams when you're not playing the best, and this was one of those games.

For a scrub team, I REALLY like the Wizards roster. They have a bunch of long wing players with ball handling skills.

George, Riley, Coulibaly... once they get Trae Young playing, that team will have potential. So, I like this win.

I'm really happy with Yanic, JMill and Kobe Sanders. They look good, and we're getting to see how they really play.

I wish Cam was in his real role. I don't like the Cam secondary ball handler slash table setter thing.

If that's how he gets on the floor, so be it.... but I think it's hurting his ability to earn real minutes.

Overall, I'm happy... just keep creeping in closer to .500 ball. Let's go, who's next?

The way Yanic is playing, we should have him as the number 1 back up behind Zu. I don’t dislike Lopez though. I like Yanic’s energy and his defense.

Also, Zu might be feeling that his days might be numbered the way Yanic is playing and how young he is. I love Zu!

Miller and Sanders are blossoming nicely. The exits of Paul and Beal is a boon for these two guys.

If Yanic ever comes close to sniffing Lopez's Basketball IQ, he'll be a future DPOY in this league.

His block timing is okay, but I think there's a few more levels he can reach before hitting the ceiling.
