When your stars no longer have the athleticism they used to have, there will only be
flashes in their game that remind us of what they once were. If you still want to keep
them, the only thing you can do is surround them with players who are athletic, good
defenders and shooters.
KPJ was good for the team because of the energy he projected, he filled a need, the same
with Mo Bamba and Mann. KPJ had something else, he is a dribbler, meaning that when
they put high pressure on, he is one of the few who could break the defense, he was not
perfect but he was very useful.
Now I see that a simple strategy for the opponents is to put high pressure on Harden and of
the others there is no one who can dribble and break the defense in 1 vs 1, except
Powell who is not playing due to his injury.
Ty Lu tends to play with veterans, and that is not going to change, when he gives
opportunities to the youngsters it is in garbage time.
I'd honestly like to see Trentyn Flowers and "Cam" Christie, at least it
would be more fun.
