Clippers at Detroit Pistons Game Day 2025-02-24

Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

What are your thoughts on the upcoming contest vs. the Detroit Pistons? The guys must do what well to get the victory? Who on the Pistons should LA focus on? Will the game be bombs away by both teams or first to 100 gets the W? Are there any injury/player availability updates?

Missed the game, but seems to me that from the small sample size, the Clippers may be better off not pulling off those recent trades. Tonight of course with Harden struggling badly, and no KL & NP- needed someone to step up. Bogdanovic *1 for 12* from deep... and his 3 point shooting % for the season is concerning. Simmons couldn't play. Mann, Porter Jr & Mo Bamba brought more to the second unit.

But hopefully the new guys will start meshing better, and of course need Leonard & Powell healthy.

What's the update on Powell? I keep hearing "day to day" but I don't know how reliable those sources are

Yeah thought he and Kawhi would’ve played since they sat out the last game. So a bit disconcerting, but hopefully it’s just for extra rest.

Eubanks and Bogdanovic are disappointing so far. There were concerns about Bogdanovic’s shooting before the trade and it is sure showing up. Even if they made couple of 3s they missed, we would have seen a different outcome yesterday. Bamba was a ok contributor but I guess the Clippers dumped to save in tax money and to get under the apron thing so that we can be active in the buyout market.

I am not trying to sugarcoat but the presence of a healthy KL and Norm would surely made the supporting cast better than what they were like in the past couple of games. But it is disappointing to see the losses.

For sure. We've seen guys who've been traded step up and help the team grind out some surprising wins this season. So it's a bummer that the new players haven't had a big impact yet, other than Simmons with that terrific first game.
