For the Veterans Minimum. Huge L for us considering we gave Wesley Johnson the money we should have paid to Luc. Luc is a game change on D with some legitimate untapped potential on offense. He's actually a very solid shooter but he hesitates to shoot so often, he leaves a lot of potential points on the table. I'm sure D'antoni can get him to let it fly on offense while still getting that all world defense out of him. Great pick up for Houston.
Possibly but there wasn't a single team in the league willing to offer anything to him other than the minimum. He likely had no spot on this team other than the end of the bench.

I'd much rather have Luc than Wesley Johnson for the Money we're paying WeJo, regardless of his role on the team. The guy can defend 1-4 and small ball 5's, you can always find a use for him. Without Luc, our perimeter defense will be exceptionally weaker. Austin and Beverly are now our only decent perimeter defenders.

Houston now has CP3, PJ Tucker, Trevor Ariza, and Luc Mbah a Moute for an insane defensive unit. I'm just mad we let that happen lol.

yeah but that unit has a point guard and three small forwards.

Guess the team may be done dealing. Tuesday the team introduces all the new faces.

Clippers will have a press conference for Blake Griffin on Wednesday.

Out of topic: I guess the reason the Rockets is filing up a good player is because the owner want to sell it and he wants to increase the value of this team. Now with Cp on board, it's another 2 billion team.

Crazy that's 3 franchise that CP has been a part of that eventually sold their franchise.

The front office did as well as they could. A few more moves would be nice, but if this is it then we had a solid outcome. Looking forward to the next season.

If a team like Cleveland for example didn't have interest in him, then they don't have good people in their front office, oh wait, they have no one lol. Luc is a much more overall useful player than Johnson. His defensive abilities are known all around the league. Interestingly enough, a worse shooter and offensive player in Roberson got a lot more money, probably simply because he is younger, but OKC might be regretting that soon if Roberson doesn't do better on offense.

Luc was put into a role that is too much for his overall capabilities (offensively) because of the Clippers lack of options at SF, but he's a great guy to have on a team. Guy was the total opposite of the rest of the team in terms of complaining.

Both Tucker and Luc can guard the 4, and Luc can guard the 1-4. I don't think they would ever put out that lineup, but they have some good combinations they could throw out for defense to compensate for Harden and Anderson

Paul / Harden / Ariza / Tucker / Capela

Harden / Ariza / Mbah / Anderson / Capela

Paul / Ariza / Mbah / Anderson / Capela

Harden / Gordon / Mbah / Tucker / Capela

etc, etc. Luc should be a good fit for those lineups as long as D'Antoni plays him

Toronto have been said to want to move on from Jonas... Why not Jomas for Jordan .. Jomas under contract for 3 more season and can rim protect and have a offensive game.. I would do it in a heartbeat...What you guys think.

I would have made that deal yesterday.

That would be a better fit next to Blake for sure. Never heard of him as being a good rim protector, but he def is a good rebounder and has some offensive game.

That could work for both teams

Does anyone know any info on the player introduction and where I can watch.

Clippers will have a press conference at 10am on Facebook. 😄

Probably because Toronto doesn't want to pay that much for a C for just one season who they don't need and won't re-sign. I believe it has been reported that Ibaka actually wants to play C for the Raptors too, so if it could be a three way trade, then it could work, but doesn't seem like Toronto would have any interest in just getting a higher paid C than they don't even need.

oh well, he isn't going to get any more than vet min here. I like Tony Allen, but if he's looking for a payday then maybe a non-playoff team is the way to go for him

Luc has gone to the Rockets.

Derrick Rose will sign a 1 year deal with the Cavs.

What a position the Cavs find themselves in. I wonder if Lebron will be appeased by these moves they have made.

If he's signing with the Cavs, why is he meeting with the Lakers right now?

Maybe the news of the signing was a bit premature? So is it official, or is he still meeting with teams?

Lol I'm assuming that's a joke.

How does a backup point in rose really help them.

They needed paul George, but rumor has it Indiana wasn't going to deal him to the East.

Cavs fired their GM in a year when free agency finally had a lot of different movement happening.

Lebron is gone after next year. Banana Boat it is

It's not hard to see that in an off season where Houston adds CP3, San Antonio adds Gay, and Minnesota adds

Butler, what the Cavs added was not nearly enough, so it was more of a rhetorical question.
