Tiafoe replaced Isner. Wish both could have been there.

Sucks to see Federer retire, but he's had a great career. Looking forward to his final match- he & Rafa will play doubles.
I am probably going to be a few days behind on the DVR with this.
I didn't realize until now that Kyrgios had pulled out too.
Well that as amazing seeing Team World come out on top- finally! What a job by Tiafoe, Sock, Auger-Aliassime & de Minaur! Too bad Federer didn't win but that was an enjoyable watch.
The whole weekend was great.
However, Sock and Tiafoe didn't get to have an on-court interview about their doubles win, after the match. That sucks for them.
I know they had the retirement video for Federer planned, but still. Other players in past tournaments have had retirement tributes, but the winning person/team still got their on-court interview.
Federer has yet ANOTHER match where he has match point and loses.

It happened again at the Laver Cup.
That's a great point- I also forgot about Tiafoe & Sock for most of it and then after Federer finished his interview I thought that it might've been nice to hear from them. So I guess they never did get the interview which was kind of odd. I liked how Tiafoe-Sock played with zero mercy though lol.
Plus, the broadcasters pointed out how Tiafoe was being picked on a bit, because he wasn't as good at doubles. For him to play well in the match tiebreak, was a great showing.
The tournament had a lot of great matches.
4 tiebreak sets across the 3 days.
7 match tiebreaks. Team Europe won 2, Team World won 5.
When they had Tsonga's retirement ceremony after his final match against Ruud, at the French Open, they still interviewed Ruud, at some point. They probably interviewed him before the ceremony, since the Tsonga one was long.

Didn't know Tsonga just retired- he had a really nice career. And yeah same with Serena's final match- Tomljanovic had a nice interview afterwards as well.
Yeah, before the start of the French Open, Tsonga announced it would be his last tournament.
He lost in the 1st against Ruud. They had a long tribute video, with several current and former French players going on court for a tribute. And other players had video messages.
Kind of sucks that Tsonga made the Australian Open Finals in 2008, and never made it back to another major final.
He once had a quote that "I can beat Djokovic in Bangkok but not the Australian Open". Lol.
