Clipper Tax Payer Mid Level Thread

Clippers Forum » Clippers News & General Discussions

I touched on this in another thread but was wondering what direction, if any, you guys wanted to go for when the Clippers decide to spend their mini mid level exception, expected to be in the $5 million range.

I mentioned Ricky Rubio, Isaiah Thomas and Elfrid Payton as backup PG options. The more I think about it, IT seems to be damaged goods and is probably stuck making the minimum from here on out. Is Rubio and Payton as good as it gets at that rate or am I missing anyone?

Also, if we don't go the PG route, do you want to spend it on some other positional player? If so, who?

How about goran dragic?

There you go. I was forgetting someone. Seems like he could be had with the minimum at this point in his career. If we could sign him for the minimum then maybe spend the exception on someone else, that would be ideal.

That being said, I'd have no problem if Dragic demanded the full tax payer. I could justify that signing.

Dragic gets hurt all the time.

He was kind of healthy in 2019-2020, but don't trust his health anymore, even though I like his game.
