Look at Doc Rivers and also see his demeanor during the interview. Instead of looking like the Cheshire Cat swallowing the canary, he looks like he's in the principal's office, being scolded, where it just now dawns on him that the jig is up, and his son is not a Top 5 guard.

LOL.. man I was saying the same thing looking at that expression etched across his face. Jerry West told him 'if he wants those millions to keep rollin' in you're playing my guys'.

There's more video. Very insightful. In one video, Doc talks about how they were looking at 3 people and one of them was drafted before the Clipper pick. I can only imagine that it was either Collin Sexton, Kevin Knox or Mikal Bridges. He acted happy, saying the Clippers got two of the three picks.

In another video, Lawrence Frank goes out there and says that they got the two people that they wanted. He explains why, talking about toughness and fit. Doc then talks. It's clear that he wasn't part of it. He talked about how he was coaching during the season, so he wasn't keeping track of people like Jerome Robinson. He spoke how they came up with a list and then they told him that it was down to three people. He parroted what Lawrence Frank said and repeated himself. It was clear that this was the thought process of Jerry West and Lawrence Frank.

Next time that we see Jerry West, I'm hoping that he's announcing that the Clippers have traded Austin Rivers. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but Doc has a sense of sadness like he knows that the jig is up.

Doc was also interviewed by Kristina Pink, who questioned him about playing rookies. Doc went into flim-flam mode, talking about his championships. Of course, he had only one, but he was trying to lump his NBA Finals loss to the Lakers as his championship experience. Then, it's like a light flashed on in his mind, and he mentioned that Rondo and Perkins were young.

Would've loved to see Kristina Pink ask the most salient question. What's Austin's future like now that the Clippers have drafted two rookies who are better than him at a fraction of the cost?

Clippers media coverage is atrocious. Like I literally have to dig so much to find interviews etc. Not acceptable for a team in LA of all places, owned by Ballmer. Clippers.com and official NBA content has been crappy. Anyway couple SGA interviews I dug up from after the conference .
