2017-18 NBA Schedules

Clippers Forum » Clippers Multimedia

Will be released soon. Sometime this week. Who do you want the Clippers to play first. Most of you probably want Houston. Boring! How about Denver? Lakers? Minnesota? We'll see! Very Happy

Warriors.

The past 10 games have been blowout losses. Let's see if it's more competitive without the fearless leader.

I can't wait to see us play the Warriors, but after a month or two so there's some time to gel. Out of the gate, probably Houston so we can see if they can actually play together. There are lots of teams I'm interested is seeing, though, with all the roster changes.

This! I'd hate to play them too early but chances are, we will. More than the Dubs, I'd really want to see us play Houston. Watching us beat CP3 would make my year.

Didn't the Clippers almost win like 2 or 3 of those, then lost with some bench lineups or some Crawford/Pierce lineups where those two got demolished on defense? The Draymond Green matchup though has been terrible for Blake recently, mostly last season. The only good game he had against the Warriors last season was the game where Draymond Green was not playing. http://stats.nba.com/vs/#!?PlayerID=201933&VsPlayerID=203110 The on/off with Green last season and back to 14-15 has been staggering:
    16-17: 26% FG, 7.7 pts, 2.0 ast, 3.3 tov in 21....

i am getting really excited about the season starting. I hope the team embraces the bad boy personas caused let's be honest we have some real life bad boys on this team so might as well go 100% to the dark side. Let the the entire NBA and fans hate on us while we just beat them up night in and night out.

Blake "the bully" Griffin

Patrick "Bush league" Beverly

Willie "Wife Beater" Reed

Hot Head Galo

The boy wonder "Mr, Entitlement" Austin Rivers

    • Eliminating stretches of four games in five days and 18 games in 30 days.

    • Reduction of five games in seven nights to just 40 instances across (1.3 per team), down from last year when it was on the schedule 90 times (three per team).

    • Reduction in number of back-to-backs to 14.9 per team, down from 16.3 per team. In all, 40 back-to-backs have been eliminated from last season.

    • Reduction of single-game road trips by 17 percent.

    • Reduction in single-game road trips over 2,000 miles by 67 percent; there are only 11 of them on schedule.

    • Increase in weekend games from 549 to 568, much of the boost coming on Saturdays. Previously the NBA avoided Saturdays and Sunday afternoons during football season to dodge conflicts.

Making changes to hopefully make things better for players.

Also no Grammys road trips for Clippers, Kings or Flakers. As the Grammys moved back to New York where it belongs. Very Happy

Well that's our fault for not building a contender. This is why building a championship level team is critical= more exposure, more fans. For some time we were given Christmas match ups with GSW because we played them tooth and nail, but now our match ups are not even competitive. WE juts have to build a good product and the league will reward us with more nationally televised games. However, the bright side is with what Jerry West has done, we will surprise some people I think

Building a contending team is NOT the measure of what gets televised on Christmas Day. Well, at least, it is not THE ONLY measure... as Minesota and Lakers are playing... and the Knicks and 76ers... We lost our SUPERSTAR and no one wants to watch a jump shooting Blake Griffin - especially one that has a high chance of being injured.

Our team has downgraded to a mediocre team, and unless we pick up Kyrie... we stay a mediocre team. No one wants to watch us, and I do not blame them.

We need to see the OLD/YOUNG Blake Griffin and better DJ just to try to get into the playoff race.

You are wrong..we will not be a mediocre team...I see our team as a dangerous team who could beat anybody ..and with the right coaching a contender..

We have the best European point guard, we have Blake who will play some point forward, and we have Beverly and Gallo and DJ who will play defense..

And we have a bench of young guys and some old...And by December our team might be a little more different..We have Jerry west! He is the brains now!

The pieces will fit now!!! Get ready for the new clippers! New offense and better defense!! Better ball movement on the offense...raining 3's from all over or dunks!

Defensive steals and layups!!

I need to get some money down on them to win if it is 100 -1..... that's $100 x 100 = $10,000.... nice.. 9,900 profit!

get that bet before we start preseason and we look good and drop to 35-1

I find it really funny that everyone talks about how much better were going to be defensively since we got Pat Beverly, but you know who else was on the all devinsive team last year? Chris Paul. For the last 7 years! So I don't think we're going to be that much better defensively. It was probably Agent who posted the player by player comparison and our team doesn't look better defensively as is. But I'm excited, it's going to be a fun season. We got blue unis back which pretty awesome. There's tons to look forward to, but a championship this year isn't one of them. Save that $100

Wee have 31 nationally televised games, I'm not sure what the issue is here, how many were we expecting to get? Last season we had 34...

Yea, it was me, the defense doesn't actually look very promising. Gallo was part of the worst defensive team last season, Teo is known as a poor defender. Luc was a very very good defensive player. The one area I like is that the bench also has a big who has size and can protect the rim, that helps. On the other hand, if we look at the top 8-9 player on the roster it includes: Gallo, Teodosic, Williams. Blake has generally been a neutral defender. So the defensive strength is relying on Beverley, DJ and Austin. The difference between Beverley and Paul when it comes to impact on a teams defense is non-existent. So when we compare:
PG defense: Worse because Bev and Paul cancel, but Lou Williams will guard PG off the bench, and he's worse than Felton and Austin SG defense: Worse because despite his lack of height and physical tools, Redick over a season brings consistency, and Teo so far as we know is actually bad and lazy on defense. Austin again is still himself, so nothing changes. If Lou is guarding SG, he's just as poor as Jamal, but smaller. SF defense: Worse because Gallo is not at Luc's level, and Wesley is the same, but if he's below Dekker in the rotation (likely), he's also a better defender than Dekker, so this one might just be worse both in starting and bench. PF defense: Better because Harrell seems to be a guy who will defend well and he has great length and mobility. C defense: Better because Reed is a better defensive player than Speights
The perimeter got worse on defense, and if it is Teo/Gallo starting at SG/SF, that's just not going to cut it in this league going against wing combo's like Thompson/Durant, Wiggins/Butler, and with how strong....
