Level Playing Field During Playoff Games Resting Players

Clippers Forum » NBA Basketball Talk

I was just listening to commentators on the Golden State and Memphis Grizzlies game that they don't play game 3 until Saturday, that's about 4 day recovery period. I thought all teams in the playoffs were getting equal time off to rest like every two days. That's not the case with the Clippers we play game 3 Wednesday, 4 Friday and if a 5th game series on Sunday. That doesn't seem fair in light of our 7 game series against San Antonio. The NBA organization must realize that all teams and opponents are not created equal. That some games will be more competitive and series longer. I think if you have a 7 game series regardless of the other team resting (Houston) that you get at least 3 day rest period before moving to next round. Players are not robots and the playing field isn't level if you're expecting a teams best especially with those rested teams 3 days should be automatic what are your thoughts?

I made a comment on this in the above thread.

I don't want any preferable treatment so disagree with your comment "the NBA organization must realize that all teams and opponents are not created equal". I don't want any favours from the NBA, just equal treatment. If you go 7 then expect not much rest, if you sweep enjoy the week off. What I don't like is how Clips-Houston is every 2 nights whilst GSW-Grizz get a nice 4 day rest. That is not on.
