Quincy Miller had 35 and 9 blocks today in the D-League Showcase. Why not give him a look at the backup 3 spot on a 10-day (he could have insane potential) and if he fails to impress move to options with less upside like Tayshaun.

Austin Daye just got waived by the spurs. He has some nice length
Never mind, the waived him to sign JaMychal Green, Daye is a guy we should definitely pass on.

Re last @Marc J. Spears tweet, Clippers have eyed Quincy Miller for some time
Quincy Miller is a 6'10", 223 lb small forward averaging 26.3 points and 7.6 rebounds, shooting 53% FG and 35% from deep. He is 6'10" but has an eye-popping 7.3" wingspan. This tells me that he might be able to play some power forward as well.
Sounds better than Prince to me, but yeah multiple teams interested, so who knows where he will end up.

We desperately need some length. He'd be perfect
Atleast we are scheduled to meet with him tomorrow. That gives me the sense that we will have first dibs at him.
Do it Doc.

Kings call up @Quincy Miller

Sacramento has reached agreement to sign Quincy Miller out of Reno to a 10-day contract, league sources tell RealGM.
I guess doc acted too slow....oh well on to the next
F*ck, he would've been a great signing.
Atleast we get to see first hand what we missed out on tonight against the Kings.
Well, it's only a 10-day contract with the Kings. Doc and company will see how he does during this time with the Kings and if he does well, perhaps Clips will offer a 10-day contract to him afterwards. Whatever. We'll see how he does tonight if he gets in the game.
We'll see how he does for the Kings if he gets on the court. If he does well, then good for them for getting their first as they will probably re-sign him then
How do 10-days work? Do the Kings have first refusal to offer him a 2nd 10-day and/or a rest-of-the-season deal or can we swoop in and steal him even if they want to keep him?
Rule of thumb should be, if Doc wants a player don't sign him. He's the worst talent evaluator in the league.
Kings have first option to give him 2 - 10 day contracts. After the second one is over, they either have to pay him for the rest of the season, or cut him loose.
It's a long shot at best on how "great" this signing could be, but most likely it's just another nothing 10 day deal and he'll be back in the D league put up suspicious stats. Numbers from the D league should always be taken with a grain of salt, they're almost on par with the Summer league numbers, LOL.
We do know in his very short career (815 mins) he's a bad shooter so far, seems to be an above average rebounder...and for his defense, which we are in dire need of...who knows. Well see.
We need to be looking for defense in the player bargain we're shopping in, whether in trades, from the D league or soon to come, buy out arena.
Good luck with that...we'll need it, not just what's out here in that scenario, but with the way the FO's record is so far in player evaluations/fits. Double indemnity. Sigh...
