Corey Maggette will be joining Clippers broadcast team, per LA Times. He just confirmed this to me on Twitter himself lol. So now Cassell and Maggette are back in some capacity! This guy is a total class act. He played low IQ at times but in interviews you could tell he knew the game (much like Jamal Crawford).
I still have my Maggette jersey in my closet. I need to get it altered to fit me again so I can wear it.
That's pretty cool- CM is certain of the more popular former Clippers. Dude always had a penchant for drawing fouls. I wonder what his specific role will be on the broadcast team- courtside reporter?
I've always liked Maggette, even if he was frustrating to watch when the game was on the line.
We're getting more and more ex-Clipper players involved in some way back in the organization...Marques Johnson, Sam Cassell, and now Maggette. Steve and Doc need to reach out to more former Clippers (like Loy Vaught, Gary Grant, Pike, and others), and let them know they're part of the family and should serve in some type of role in the franchise. That's another way to create a winning and uniting culture.

Great news! Corey was one of my favorites when I first hopped on the Clippers bandwagon in '04/'05. Having him around the broadcasts will remind me of the good old days of attending my first games... just as long as Mike doesn't keep talking about his body like he used to. Now that he's not a player anymore, that would just be creepy.
Now... is there any chance we can bring back Q-Ross as a defensive coach for our perimeter guys?
Can replace Mike Smith with him?

Maggette helped pay for cancer treatment for one of the Clippers assistant coaches years ago when Clippers insurance company wouldn't pay for it. Great guy.
Fu** that. We need a SF. Maybe he'll come out of retirement.
