Ivan would be awesome on this team. He skill set would be fit in lob city as long as he cuts down on the turnovers. I think multiple teams are interested in him but I can see him hopefully coming for the min. One thing Ivan the a terrible and Reggie have is getting under the opponents skin, probably something our front court is missing
Metta World Peace Agrees to Contract with Knicks (P. 3)
Clippers Forum » NBA Basketball Talk@Chris_Broussard: Source close to Metta just told me MWP definitely wants to play for Knicks. Clippers fairly distant 2nd, China 3rd
I love how is "Sources" always favor east coast teams like BKN and NYK.
@sam_amick: On Metta World Peace: personal component (kids etc.) was coming into play in Clippers preference, but now hearing Knicks are again priority
Metta has cleared waivers...he's a FA.
If Metta World Peace clears waivers today, Clippers would be interested in speaking with him, but team knows MWP also likes Knicks, sources @BA_Turner
But is it worth it to trade Crawford for a guy like Robin or Zaza? I don't think it is right
now because he's still our 3rd best player and we don't know how good Dudley and
Redick are going to be. Even Barnes, we need to see how well he plays for a while before
relying on him more heavily.
Before the worth, I don't even see what team would make that trade, it's bit easier to get a SG that can put up points than a fairly decent C. Lopez of course is for sure going nowhere.
According to Marc J Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo, Lamar Odom and Antawn Jamison are both being considered by the Clippers (posted yesterday), also earlier today Marc Berman said that the Clippers are not that interested in MWP
"@BA_Turner: Metta World Peace to The Times via text regarding Clippers: “Of course I’m interested in Clippers. I have to meet them first.”"
Its sad how world peace is the favorite to all these other horrible backups.. Be real.. Jamison showed his age last year.. Odom has a lot of problems with himself dedication and his wife.. And peace is crazy as fu@k.. I say we just get samaurdo and call it a day
^^^Samuels is looking like a legit NBA big this week. Might be better to get a young guy to bring energy vs. old dude with better skills but that can't jump higher than me.
I like what I'm seeing with Samuels. I don't think I've seen him take a single jumper, yet he plays within himself. He's worked hard so far. He's boxed out. He's wreaked a little havoc in the paint pushing people around. And he's contributed in both games, even averaging 15 pts a game. If he continues to play this hard, I'd totally go for this guy as back up PF.
I REALLY don't want MWP to be on my team. As tough as he is, he's a nut job and undersized for the 4, no thanks!
Samuels (young, hardworking offensive-minded PF) would be the smart choice but I still think we could sign both Samuels and either Odom or Peace. I do not want old ass Jamison on next yrs squad. Dude is a bad luck charm.
@WojYahooNBA: Metta World Peace has reached an agreement in principle on a two-year deal with the New York Knicks, league source tells Y! Sports.
GOOD! we can get rid of this thread. ![]()
