Chris Paul (thumb) "anticipates" participating in at least one preseason game.

Paul went through basketball drills without a protective brace for the first time on Monday, a big step in his recovery. "Today was the first day they actually allowed me to shoot layups," he said. Previously, the belief was that CP3 would be ready for the regular season, but it looks like he wants to get in at least one tune-up game before the new year officially begins.

I was hoping he would play in the preseason game vs the lakers!

I hope he does not play in preseason games. There is no reason to put him out there and risk re-injury. let him sit as long as he needs. He does not need time on the floor with the team to gel. When he comes back, he won't skip a beat. Sit him

He's a natural leader, you're right just come strong in the reg season, we can beat the lakers without Dwight cleaning up Kobe's misses!

I bet anything CP is good. He's probably just taking it one day at a time.

What do you mean by 'good'?

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul went through basketball drills without a protective brace around his right thumb for the first time Monday, and said he anticipates playing in at least one preseason game and being ready for the Clippers' season opener Oct. 30 versus the Memphis Grizzlies. "Today was the first day they actually allowed me to shoot layups, so today was the best day ever," Paul told ESPNLosAngeles.com. "I hope I get a preseason game in before the season. I probably have to start off the season wearing a brace, but I get to wear....

The "Basketball Reasons" came out. He didn't even want to get traded to the Lakers. CP3 is good at talking to people. He probably talked Stern into vetoing the trade. "Yo f-ck that sh-t. I want the Clippers"

Would be awesome if it was true......

the reality is all this can only be assumed... even if it comes straight from CP3's mouth he's on this team so I still take it with a grain of salt...

but in the other hand extremely excited to have him on the clippers

I was really hoping to see him play with the Clippers against the Heat but preseason games don't really matter. The only thing that matters is that he is ready when the actual regular season starts.

I wish they'd keep Blake out of pre season gms. Let him play 1 in China though.

Blake is done dunking, he said so himself, We can still expect him to dunk a few each game, but he's not gonna make them his regular shots like in his rookie season!

Didn't he get injured doing a dunk in practice or something? I love his dunks and all but sometimes a simple layup or a less flashier dunk would be better to prevent injuries.

He's not done dunking. Dunking his girlfriend's hole(s) at, least.

Hey he said he's done dunking, I'm just realying the message, I hope he is, his knees are gonna be 'zilch' if he keeps up this pace!

When did he say he was done dunking?

Interview, on ESPN, somewhere on video, or phone interview!

He says it towards the end but it looks like he was just joking. He didn't injure his knee dunking he injured it by coming down on it awkwardly. In order to avoid that he will have to avoid jumping altogether haha.Don't worry man,Blake is a young athletic guy and getting injured is common.I do agree that it can be a problem for his knees down the line and hope he can get his jumper going so he doesn't have to dunk all the time but I wouldn't be too worried about it.I think the surgery he got will help out a lot and think I remember reading somewhere that his knees should be a lot better because before he got a sort of temporary fix when he hurt his knee and now with the surgery he just got he shouldn't have any problems but can't remember where I heard that.

Yeah I heard that a bionic knee is stronger but not as flexible as a real knee, or something close too that, don't think he has a bionic knee, but I'm sure it's stronger now. And how did you find that video?
