New Auto-Rep Feature

Clippers Forum » Clippers Topbuzz Announcements
Hi guys- in an effort to give more props to those who create threads that CTB'ers enjoy reading, I have added a feature where a member who posts a highly rated and recommended thread will be rewarded automatically with a +1 vote. Basically if you post a new thread that gets a +7 thumbs up rating, and gets a COMBINED number of 5 Facebook Likes or Google +1 or Twitter Tweets, you will get a positive vote from the system. For instance- you write a nice, analytical post, or share a Clippers news article that everyone really likes. It....

Is there a way to search for the highest rated threads?

No there isn't. Also this feature never really took off and I'm not even sure if it works any more.

Lol. Sad

From reading about the feature, it sounds like a good idea, but difficult to achieve.

I rarely even see threads with more than +4. Although maybe they're on previous pages. Which is why I asked if I could somehow search and return a list of the highest rated threads. Maybe that could be a filter added on the search page. An additional filter that would return threads with X rating or higher.

Also, when thinking about this feature, what would happen if someone met the social repost requirements, and got the + 7 thumbs up, say on a Tuesday.

But by Friday, it received a few negative votes, dropping it down to +5. Would the upvote then be taken away from the user?

I like the innovative idea though, of trying to create more engagement among users.
