There are reports that Memphis is prepared to trade the sixth man of the year last season, Mike Miller, for Corey Magette. It is hard to tell if there is a good source for this rumor or if it is just a sportwriter's speculation at this point. I haven't had a chance to go in and look at the numbers, but every time I see Mike Miller drill long jump shots and 3 pointers, he looks like the outside shooter the Clippers are reportedly looking for. What say you.......clipper fans?
I seen it on BenMaller.com....I dunno, it could be a good trade. I'm not in favor of trading two of our core players for anyone...cuz it would invariably disrupt any kind of chemistry we have, but trading Magette wouldn't be bad. Can we throw in Thomas with him and maybe get somebody else?? hehe. I think it's a good trade, anyone else ??
Even as the best player on the worst team, you'd still expect Mike Miller to do better than that. If Maggette was on the Grizzlies right now, he'd be tearing it up for that team. Maggette can probably shoot just as well as Miller does but he doesn't pass the ball enough
Hmmm I don't know about this one. I think Maggette is much more talented, also Miller seems to get injured a lot- seemingly more so than Maggette. Miller does shoot much better than Maggette, but overall I don't think this would be a fair trade for the Clippers. Corey just needs to play more team ball and he'd be a huge weapon for anyone.
Now the new rumor is that the Miami Heat has contacted the Clippers about Maggette. But they better come back with something better than James Posey or Antoine Walker if they want to get a deal done. They are dreaming that the Clippers are stupid.

I like Posey, but Walker is useless. But Posey can't replace what Corey does offensively.
Yeah, I read that on Si too. No way do Posey or Walker measure up to Maggette. Walker is good talent wise, but if you think Maggette takes too many unforced shots now, wait until you get Walker. As jlem said, Posey doesn't come close to the offensive output Maggette has. The only decent player on the Heat (besides Shaq and Wade of course) is Haslem. But why would you want him when you already have Brand?
This Miami trade sucks...Miller for Maggette seems interesting but in my opinion not enough...As I see Maggette could lead the Grizz in scoring when Miller is just playing regular...On the other hand we must think about our real needs.We need shooters and Mike Miller is one and furthermore Mike Miller is a good passer even he has played years ago as PG...Miller is often injured but Corey too so...there are so many question marks that my finally decision is NOT.Corey is a Clipper for years and he has showed loyalty to the team even coming from the bench
He has shown lots of "loyalty"...considering he knows he is wanted in trades, he remains focused. The bottom line i guess is he has some weaknesses, and he's just gonna continue improving what he's good at - scoring, getting to the line, making matchups harder, etc.
