Dallas and Toronto Interested in Kawhi

What does everyone think about this? And who would you want from either team if you were the Clips GM?

Would love to trade him if the market is good enough. If not, we can keep him and have a pretty competitive team until the trade deadline. 2 first rounders is realistic, 3 would be a slam dunk

Since so much is thrown out in the media that talks are heating up, I would rather have him traded now and not wait for the season to begin and all the unwanted attention. Hopefully we can sell him for good return to Toronto.

Sad, this KL has to end because of the way it turned out - significant injuries and his attitude - and him being a 35 year old with bad knees. I don’t give much value on how he turned around the past season. He should be done as a clipper and let’s get a good haul while he is still marketable.

I will be happy if we get RJ Barrett, a role player and at least an unprotected first rounder in the immediate future.

Sounds about right. I don't think Toronto has cap space so they'd have to throw in someone or a few players with those picks. Maybe RJ Barrett and Boyles for him or something like that

Seems like we're all on the same page. Barrett and at least one pick

I think this is fantastic. Kawhi was given seven years, and the best he could do was take us to the Western Conference Finals, which he didn't even play in. It's time to move on. If we can get two first round picks and salary cap filler, I would call that a win. We shouldn't try and ask for a king's ransom, as Kawhi is not worth it. I'm so done with him. To be honest, the day we move on from Kawhi will be the third best day in franchise history, behind stripping Donald Sterling of ownership and trading away Chris Paul. These seven years were just miserable. He just stole money with his mysterious injuries. Good riddance.

It's looking like it's gonna happen. Everything I hear is that the Raptors and Clippers are trying to figure out draft pick compensation

The rumor is that we'd be getting 1 first rounder, and no Boyles, that would be awful if we agree to that deal

Let's hope we can get this done by the end of the day. The new era needs to start.

Lover the haul we got in KL trade mainly because he is a 35 years old with compromised knees.

Let’s start a new chapter and make the team enjoyable to watch.

It's on. The blockbuster deal sends the two-time Finals MVP back to the franchise he led to the 2019 NBA championship. In exchange, the Clippers receive Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, a pick swap, and two second-rounders. Excellent trade. Between Zubac, Harden, and Kawhi, we have recouped four first rounders, and three second rounders and several pick swaps. We have nearly dug ourselves out of the hole that we did with the PG trade. God, we just have to hope for the Aspiration ruling to not be so devastating. And FFS, please never again trade away so many draft picks.

The owner of the Raptors, Larry Tanenbaum, is chairman of the Board of Governors. I'd imagine now the punishment for Kawhi and LAC is a slap on the wrist if anything

I pray you're right. This would be devastating to have had to give up so much capital for PG and Harden, recoup it some of it in trades, and only to be forced to give it back.

Yeah you're right. Earlier the rumor was 1 first but the final deal had 2. It's a fair trade. I wonder what we'll do with Ingram - he's not a bad player. Much younger than Kawhi '

He seems to fit a niche role. He was a salary filler. He's decent enough to get us some regular season wins, but he's not a guy to build around, which will allow us to move him if an opportunity presents itself. The FO should do the smart thing and field a decent enough team to be in the play in and keep us in the mix but not deal away all our assets for someone like Jaylen Brown. Keep what you have, draft well, and make a strong push in the free agent market when these big names become available. Till then, it will be fun to see Neiderhauser and Wagler develop and Mathurin and Garlan balling out to keep us in the play in mix. God willing some crazy injury bug hits OKC and their pick ends up being higher than ours so we don't have to do the pick swap. We are looking better guys.
