Update on Aspiration and KL2's Klaw-ntract

Gotta have fun with it... seems like it is going to be a big nothing burger. And I do imagine we're picking up steam to an announcement. I do not imagine they want to do anything in the post season, and take away from the games?

Or maybe it will be a good distraction? If there is such a thing.

And it could very well be delayed to the post season.

Anyway it was a good read:

Honestly it makes Pablo Torre look like a chump if the "belief" clause is the only ammo he's got.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, because backdoor deals happen all the time.

I also do not think that people who are caught red handed, get punished all the time.

People get away with things ALL. THE. TIME.

I have not dug deep enough the rabbit hole to figure anything more than a small (now bankrupt) company, throwing money at a star player, for use of "likeness". Not sure what Kawhi is meant to perform to satisfy the Torre camp? People literally do nothing and get paid all the time. It is called being famous.

And I know I am biased, but if there was more damaging evidence I believe we would have seen it.

Either way - all things considered - this thing should go by painlessly. Like "cleared of all wrongdoing" from my perspective.

Nice thread title.

My whole thing is that this wasn't something....

Who is Dennis Wong?

Dennis Wong is one of Ballmer's closest friends and a minority owner of the Clippers. They were roommates at Harvard

Another thing that I just learned is that before signing the $300 million contract to be one of Intuit Dome's founding partners, Aspiration actually bid for ultimate naming rights meaning instead of Intuit Dome, the arena could've been known as "Aspiration Arena" or something along those lines. I only bring this up because along with needing a partner in Ballmer's tree planting agreement as part of the $100 million he wanted to gift the city of Inglewood with, Aspiration was a legitimate bidder in the naming rights process. This goes a lot further than some company to funnel illegal cap circumvention money to, which is what Pablo Torre has been trying to hint at
