What are your thoughts on the game against the Grizzlies? The guys must do what well to get the W? Who on the Grizzlies should Los Angeles be wary of? Will the game be bombs away by both teams or defensively-oriented? Who will step up?

Kawhi very sharp to start- drilling a trio of little J's
Zu inside with the mini hook- all day! Good feed by Dunn.
One of the best sequences of the year by the Clippers- Harden picks Morant's pocket, behind the pass dish to Collins for the monster slam!
Good to see Dunn & JC make moves into the paint and converting! But guys must not leave Spencer open from deep like that- good timeout.
Clipper focus not the best right now- offense is floundering a bit here plagued by turnovers, and the defensive with the second unit isn't as sharp.
Sanders trying to do too much- just shoot it when open please
There you go- catch and shoot bingo by Kobe Sanders
But there he goes again- instead of shooting the 3 he drives and throws it away again, this time trying to feed Zu.
Clippers limp their way to finish the first Q, now up only 2
Miller the nice foray inside, but the Clippers allow another 3 by Spencer
Clippers simply cannot stop Jaren Jackson- he's just having his way inside, and now drills another 3, ouch. Clips all of a sudden down 40-32.
Better energy there as the Clippers able to get 3 offensive rebounds and finally KL hits the J
That consecutive series of rebounds is what we're asking for, that energy! How many times can we see this?
The Clippers seem to have forgotten that they can foul a guy going for a layup and make them earn it at the line. That's just soft!
Oh! Kobe Brown, on a fast break and defending someone smaller, shouldn't bring the ball down to waist level. He should keep it high, away from the basket, and facing forward so that if his side is blocked, he can turn and make an easy basket. However, good defensive stop.
The Clipper lineups simply aren't as balanced as the squads from the last decade or so. You've got:
subpar 3 point shooters left open by the opposing defense shooting 3's
subpar finishers getting their shots rejected or simply missing
young players who aren't quite good enough
and aging superstars who like to go one on one but are unable to hit shots as often. Plus the extra burden put on them make them even less effective as they start to make riskier passes or force as they lose trust in their teammates being able to hit shots.
It's a combination that is not going to be very successful, no matter how great your defense is. And the defense isn't all that consistent, the rebounding is average, and the motor definitely is below par in the second half.
That huge when Dunn can hit those corner 3's. A pair of bingos put the Clippers up 59-57!
That was no good. Zu gets hit inside no call, and they call a weak foul on the and 1 for Coward. But why a weak foul though- just make sure the guy doesn't make the layup for goodness sake.
These refs are terrible. This time Collins gets hit on the drive, no call.
TOUGH bingo by Kawhi in the corner, kind of behind the backboard it looked
Harden pretty invisible on both ends thus far. Wells drives past him for yet another layup.
Clippers don't box out and allow an easy tip in at the 3rd Q buzzer. 90-76 Grizz.
Our role players follow Harden's lead, and James.... in typical vet fashion, takes too many plays off.
Nobody has the legs to keep the Grizz off their spots or bother them by applying ball pressure.
Every possession, a different guy in the supporting cast goes to sleep on the glass and on D.
Also, our PF's are decent players, but they don't compare to real 4's around the NBA.
John Collins and Kobe Brown aren't bad, but Triple J treats them like step children.
I don't understand this team. There was a point tonight where I said... welp, there it goes...
....and it really went downhill, from that moment on
Clips just fade into the sunset in the 4th with little fight. Jordan Miller is one of the few bright spots with 10 and 6. Dunn was terrific with 17 and 5, with only one turnover. Kobe Brown still struggling badly from deep, but at least he doesn't hesitate.
Very surprised that Zu had only 6 points despite Edey not playing. But Memphis doubled him every time he caught it in the post, but the Clippers unable to make the Grizz pay for those doubles.
The boos rain down as the game ends- Clips fall 121-103.

Kobe Brown may not have it. Maybe he can perform better on a differnent team, but here.... this guy CANNOT make an open 3.
Even with the contributions elsewhere on the court from them... if Dunn, Collins, Kobe, and Kobe could make a 3....
we'd be hard to cover. I know Dunn shot well tonight, but he has more space on his looks than most guys in the NBA...
....and he still misses uncontested constantly. And can we get a real Power Forward this season or summer?????

For sure. He's just not a 3 point shooter at this point, and teams are leaving him wide open to great success. That ashamed because he is solid on defense, able to guard some bigs, and rebounds well. If he and the other guys can shoot like 35-36% that'd be big, but that's just not happening for now.
It's just tough knowing that they traded away an ELITE shooter for a solid role player in Collins. I know that Beal was supposed to be an integral part, but did the Clippers really do enough research on his health before taking this gamble that has failed badly.
Right now for the team to even win against a subpar opponent, you need a huge performance from either Harden or Leonard (or both) and a couple of other guys having very good games. It's just not going to happen very often.
Might be time to blow it up even before the summer because even with Beal and DJJ back it'd be barely a .500 team.
Video highlights:
I always give the benefit of doubt to the FO and preach patience but I think it is time to clean up…including Ty and Frank. Sad that injuries happened this year but not to the alpha players.
The alpha players are non factors when the team looks for leaders and turn things around. With these qualities and their age + the way the team struggles and nothing is working, it is better to cash them out while they can procure whatever they can.
It looks like we will be in doldrums for a while - meager draft picks, no less when we are near the bottom sucks!
I don’t think Ballmer likes rebuilding but we will see if the FO creates magic and turn things around via a trade + FA signing. We learnt our lessons look for young, energetic and healthy guys with great potential. FO should do their job in finding talent.
Hope Doc gifts Giannis for minimal cost to us to amend the mess he created for us…just kidding.
