Clippers at Rockets Game Day 2025-12-11

Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

What are your thoughts on the upcoming contest vs. the Rockets? The guys must do what well to get the W? Which Rockets player should LA focus on? Will the game be very high-scoring or first to 100 gets the W? Are there any injury/player availability updates?

Clippers hanging in there just down a deuce. A few too many turnovers thus far lead to several easy Houston fastbreak buckets. Guys shooting 3's well so far though- 9 of 22.

Zu on the good lob from Dunn, now another inside- the Clippers lead!

At the half, Clips up 54-51 another Zu puts back Harden's missed floater. Let's see if the guys can come up with a strong 3rd Q- seem to be trending better lately.

Odd tech by Brook Lopez from the bench there- I think he wanted the refs to call a foul on that Zu scramble play

JC nice job running the floor on a pair of Clipper KD strips. Good passing by Dunn.

Zu vs the double, drop steps for two!

Harden on the drive- HIGH off the backboard for 2

Zubac again with the active putback on Harden's miss!

Gotta like that- Sanders the drive and kick to Batum for the corner bingo!

Not the best finish to the 3rd as Harden misses a tough 3 and Okogi goes all the way for the layup at the buzzer. Clips clinging to a 2 point lead.

Poor start to the 4th- turnovers and not getting back on D, and the Clippers are all of a sudden down 6

Kawhi just jogging back on D- that's not going to cut it

That putback by KL is the first FG by the Clips this Q

Huge bingo by Harden, and 1!

Now the Klaw the strong move into the paint for his own and 1, cuts it to 1

A bit of biased reffing happening- Zu obviously fouled on that layup, and they call the same sort of foul on the Clips for Thompson

Wow. KL gets hit in the head, no call, now they shove Zu on the rebound, no call. I think Clips might be challenging.

No challenge apparently- now they call the Clippers on another foul on Thompson. If they'd only call it both ways...

Clips getting butchered on the same play again. Another lob inside to Thompson from the key.

Clips also can't get a rebound here- multiple stops but not able to get the ball back.

Harden ties with the bingo, but the Clippers once again cannot rebound, allowing Thompson the and 1 putback smh

Unbelievable- Clippers so close to having the ball and going for the win if they only could've rebounded. Thought John Collins was going to help solve that issue, but he's not even on the floor right now, and hasn't been most of the 4th for some reason.

Zu needs to hit 2 big FTs here to cut it to 1, 17 ticks left.

Zu hits 1 of 2. Dunn's hustle induces Jabari Smith to commit an offensive foul! They're going to review to see if it's flagrant as well. Dude was throwing elbows.

WTH throwing an effin elbow which hits player in the face is not flagrant? That's what they're saying. It's 113-111 Clipper ball, Clips down 2.

That Rockets commentator is so biased saying the elbow only hit Dunn in the chest that that Dunn flopped his head, when it obviously hit Dunn in the face.

Speaking of flopping- that's what Holiday just did. They call an offensive on Kawhi- Clips are challenging.

WOW they claim KL did extend his elbow. Get outta here.

Clips had to foul Holiday. 3 point game, 8.7 left. And Batum cannot even inbound as nobody came close to receive the pass. Terrible.

Senguin AIRBALLS the first FT and clanks in the second lol

Clippers with a miracle play left here if they can disrupt the Rockets inbounds.

Clippers fall AGAIN, 115-113 this time, despite Zubac's brilliant 33 point performance on 13 of 14 FG.

Clippers just keep coming up a little short- what is the solution? Just needing another bucket, another rebound, and one fewer turnover pretty much.

We're not good enough to withstand Dunn and Collins missing wide open 3's, Kobe missing assignments...

... and Kawhi n' James doing everything on offense. At least Batum and Bogi contributed.

Lopez sees the writing on the wall, and the effort is there... he's just too far past his prime.

Honestly, there's something missing with this Houston team.... and it's NOT because we played them tough.

Zu had such a great game. It's nice to see him starting to come back to the Zu we all know.

There's plenty of teams who are good that we play... who don't have Steven Adams type players.

Anyone who can't match Zu's size is in trouble. We just have a hard time playing through him and getting him to his spots.

So, for me... as baller as Big Zu can be, I'm not sure he's our guy down the road. We probably have to join the Darkside and get a Stretch 5.

Kawhi seems to get down after a turnover or a missed shot at times and then just JOGS back on D. He needs to get over the disappointment and be mentally better for the next play.

And yes I agree that the Rockets don't look as good as last year's team. Durant at his age isn't going to put them over the top, just like in PHX. KD actually was helpful for the Clips as guys were able to rip the ball away from him several times.

You know what? That might be it.

Their pace is not what it was last season, and I think Udoka has them playing that way because of Durant's age.

If that were true, it would be a shame. They have some good athletes who should be getting up n' down...
