Please post your predictions for the game coming up versus the Lakers. The guys must do what well to get the W? Who on the Lakers should LA focus on? Will the game be first to 115 points or first to 100 gets the W? Go Clips!

Clippers trying a late comeback here, cuts it to 10
Dunn just got ejected after shoving Doncic with the ball, and then retaliating against Haye's shove. Seemed like a bunch of nothingburger
Clipper transition D... still a work in progress to put it nicely
Highlights:
time to reset
I feel like once we leaned away from defense, our team went straight down the toilet. I know DJJ is gone, but there are 7-8 other guys who play little to no defense every night.
Also, what is going on with this roster? Does TLue not have the ability to coach guys who aren't in the 18-26 range? Our Rookies are usually older. Our vets are all OLD.
The last thing I want to know. WHO in the Front Office or on the staff is the one who believes in 5 years ago's stars? If it's all of them, they all need to go.
If it's Lue, gotta go.... if it's Van Gundy.... whoever, that person needs to go. I don't think it's JVG because it was happening before he arrived.
Is it Shaw? The other assistance of note are gone, sooooo... who is it? LFrank? G League personnel? Scouting Department?
Somebody needs to be removed for the way we're constructing these rosters. It's time to move. Let's turn over a new leaf...
I think Kawhi is no longer a superstar. He's still a good player, but he's not at that level anymore. The same goes for Harden, and we depend on those two to achieve anything, which isn't going to happen.
On paper, they seemed like a complete team, and I mentioned this before. What worried me was the players' slowness and fatigue due to their age; it shows in their defensive intensity. The players, in general, for some reason, get motivated when it comes to offense, but on defense, even if you have the fundamentals, it requires a lot of energy. Besides the fundamentals and planning, experience is also very important for saying "stay put" when necessary. I watched Luka with a lot of frustration, laughing and drawing easy fouls. If I were his defender, I'd give him a hard foul. Every foul has to be hard; you can't just give "light touches" because you're inexperienced, and that has to be called on by the head coach or the defensive back.
Imagine this for a moment: you don't have the experience to defend Luka. What do you tell the young player? To let him get past you every time, to stand his ground, and if you defend him like that, he'll score 60 points whenever he wants? No, you tell the young player, "Defend like a dog" (with intensity), and when he tries to draw a foul by pushing you, call a hard foul. Every foul has to be worthwhile. Mind you, I'm not saying to injure him, but make sure it's worthwhile.
When I was a player, that was the instruction for me, and I saw opposing stars who couldn't handle that kind of defense. Now, he instills that in the whole team: "Defend like dogs," and make sure every foul is worthwhile, foul intelligently.
Anyway, we could basically dissect every play, but it's too much. To give you an example, Zubac has a very noticeable lack of fundamentals on both offense and defense. He doesn't even know how to grab a defensive rebound, how to position himself correctly, how to extend his elbows (not to stop) to protect himself, how to shield the ball on offense, or how to set up a three-pointer. It's unacceptable that a professional doesn't have a decent shooting range, let alone that percentage from the free-throw line. When a center has these deficiencies, he's not intimidating, and on offense, you just have to foul him because he won't make it.
Not sure where you have been all these years... I think I agree with everything that you wrote. Pretty much 100%.
Rep.
Nobody can guard Luca except Ron Artest. Harden is playing all star level. but the roster sucks, not as individual players' attitude or effort. The problem is jot the Front Office. Chris Paul is the key and again we have to have a mid range game. Don't get me started on KL who should have been traded 5 years ago.The LAL are monsters so not a humiliation. If we get 3 pt shooters in trade we'll be better but we can forget a winning season. but I support the guys.
Happy Thx
"Yeah, agreed, Ron Artest would be ideal to guard him, but there are other old school guys like Gary Payton, Rodman, and Pippen who would have defended him efficiently. And don't even get me started on a defense like Laimbeer's Pistons and the famous 'Jordan Rules'.
I really liked that 2018-2019 Clippers squad that got knocked out by Golden State. In fact, I think Shai was already on the team back then."

He was. He and Landry Shamet played a starring role in that amazing comeback
