A must win for Clips. Rebounding is key to game. If we win boards we should win..
Is Coffey hurt?
Bench came in and gave the team a spark, but that was an unfortunate end to the quarter as Jokic hits the 3 at the buzzer.
Nico bingo, tied at 31!
This is becoming quite the half court battle. Clips must keep the turnovers lower and get back on transition.
They keep leaving Dunn wide open, and he makes them pay there- bingo!
A scrum as Braun swings his arm and and hits Harden. The Beard takes exception, and Gordon jumps in to pour oil on the situation.
Zu did a good job grabbing Gordon as he tried to really go after Harden, who stretched his hand out to push him away.
A bunch of techs and the game continues with 6.6 seconds left.
Powell loses the ball, and the Clippers find themselves down 50-48 at the half. Let's see how the guys respond in the third. Refs aren't doing the Clippers any favors, but gotta keep attacking the paint. Refs probably will call the game tighter now after that skirmish.
Why does Powell get a t?
Good hustle by Powell. Hits the floater then races back to stop the break. Harden not as sharp thus far though- 4 turnovers already after just 1 last game.
That was nice- Powell drive and dish to Kawhi in the corner for the bingo!
That was bogus- a lot of contact as Kawhi shoots the fade, no call
Jokic flops, but the Clippers don't challenge. Nuggs now up 67-56 as they're making shots, while Clippers are not. As simple as that.
The reffing is driving me nuts Jackson is right, stop looking for the call and play.
What an acrobatic finish for Kawhi- and 1!
Nico unfortunately not able to hit 3's consistently tonight. They hit another 3, and the Clippers are in trouble here down 76-60.
F this game. So frustrating.
Clippers showing some life here as Harden with the floater and 1! 16 point game. Gotta keep getting stops and push the pace.
Now DJJ misses a pair of open 3's. That's tough.
Kawhi across the lane- 11 point game!
The Klaw, steal, slaaaaaaaaaam dunk! Down to 8!
Furious rally by the Clippers, keyed by defense. Powell, bingooooooooooooooo! 4 point game!
Powell, again!!! One point game!
How many times are they going to hit Harden before a foul is called?
Denver is on the ropes- time to apply the knock out punches.
Bogie, who's been playing terrific D, gets the hustle rebound and layup! Clippes LEAD 97-96!
That wasn't travel on Jokic? Also thought Bogie should've shot a floater or the 3 there- a bit too unselfish passing it back out to Kawhi. Though I suppose if the 3 went in there's no such discussion lol.
Zu tips in the Harden miss, Clips tie it at 99! 8 seconds left.
Ugh. Looks like They got lucky as Jokic's airball 3 is caught by Gordon who slams it in.
Clippers lose on a freak play. Tremendous comeback for naught.
It was a furious rally but ended in a heartbreak!
That man Gordon again ugh. He probably should've been ejected from the game during that skirmish before the half as he was the one going all aggrego there.
Pivotal game 5 coming up- Clips must learn for this tough loss and bounce back, and I suspect they will.
It is tough to lose the home court advantage
BTW DJJ, Dunn, Batum & Simmons were all absent on that last defensive stand. That may have proven costly. Probably should've taken Harden out at least.
On the bright side, it was good to see Bogie step up on both ends. And he did it with pure effort.
But overall, another game where if the Clippers are mediocre from deep- just 10 of 30 today, they are vulnerable. Nico & Dunn just 2 of 12 combined. So guys must hit those open 3's at a higher rate the rest of the series.
This is the 2nd time in the recent memory that the Clippers lost on a buzzer beater dunk in the playoffs. The other time was when we lost to Phoenix when Ayton dunked. Both are such heartbreakers!
For sure- failing to box out can be killers. Hopefully going forward Ty Lue will play more defense + rebounding/offense down the stretch in these type of situations. I'm not sure in this game if the Clippers were outta timeouts, and perhaps that had Ty Lue thinking that if there was time for a quick push after a miss, he wanted his best scorers in Harden & Powell out there.
I hope this loss won’t deflate the energy of the players. These types of losses probably will do. But again, they came back furiously and let’s see if they come back with vengeance.

I'm sure that won't happen to THIS group. I'd be shocked if the Clips come out and lay an egg in game 5. They're going to analyze what happened that caused the 22 point deficit. They're going to hustle, and hopefully they're going to shoot better from deep.
If basket doesn’t count with finger on the ball, then that should be no basket. I don’t know the rule though.
Also MPJ has to be suspended for leaving the bench during scuffle. Ran halfway across the court before coach stopped him.

Man it was so close, and from the frame by frame they showed on TV, he seemed to have let go of it before the red light appeared. But perhaps there's a better view and the Clippers might have a case to protest on. I thought it was weird though how the 0.1 took seemingly forever before it changed to 0.0. Just didn't seem right.
Hope the NBA look into MPJ leaving the bench- that should be an automatic 1 game suspension right there.
This twitter post appears to indicate that the refs blew it:
But it's very difficult to tell if the fingers were still on the ball from that angle.
Ummmm- yeahhhhh. But if Tye Lue is trotting Harden & Powell out there, who aren't exactly the best rebounders, he should be sharing part of the blame.
This game was lost in many ways. The main culprit was the lack of urgency from the start of the game by the stars.
That last play was on Ty for bad defensive rotations. Harden and Powell are our best options at defense and rebounding?!? Really?!?! This will be part of Ty’s legacy if he loses to an interim coach.
Bad things comes in 3’s:
1) Jenkins
2) Malone
3) Ty?
These two frames really great but as it says, it is really hard to tell if the figures are still on the ball in the first frame.
OKC will get more rest.
But it's very difficult to tell if the fingers were still on the ball from that angle.
I really think coming back from a 22 pt deficit in the 4qt and lose only by a blown ref call tip in at the buzzer is a character builder for this team !!!!! I will take this loss and the series tied 2-2 , than the clipper 3-1 killer if you know what i mean !! clippers in 6 games
