Clippers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game Day 2025-03-18

Clippers Forum » Clippers Game Day

How will the Clippers do in the upcoming contest vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers? What must the Clippers do earn a W? Who on the Cavaliers should L.A. focus the D on? Will the game be bombs away by both teams or a slower-paced game? Go Clips!

What a shootout thus far. Clips definitely better matched with Powell back. The bench did a good job, but the starters need to step up.

Harden and Powell play catch, Norman the bingo!

Zu a good job thus far battling Allen inside

Tough call on Batum there on Strus shooting a 3 at the end of the 2nd. Didn't make contact until the follow-through, but I guess didn't give enough area for the shooter to land. Clips down 73-68 at the half.

Kawhi's defensive prowess is starting to show in the last few games, Rips the ball away there, and drains the bingo!

Lol Leonard fakes the pass to the wide-open Dunn in the corner, but the defense doesn't bite.

Clips just unable to get back on D, allowing too many buckets/fouls in the paint

Nifty move inside by Zu for 2. Now some friendly fire as Dunn gets bloodied by Powell's toes in the face after Norman falls to the ground

Kawhi playing as well as I've seen him this season. The quickness is back.

That was nice- JH to KL who zips it inside to the cutting Zu for 2!

Clippers just getting stampeded by the Cavs time and time again- unable to get back on D. Just a 5 point deficit though.

That was odd- ball obviously out on Mobley, but the refs after the review said it's Cavs ball. Then after the crowd boos, they change it back to the correct call.

Good job by the Clips attacking. Keep drawing fouls inside which also prevent the Cavs from pushing before the D is set.

Bogie ties it with his 4th 3!

Lol Harden puts Mobley into the torture chamber there. Mesmerizes him with multiple moves for the easy layup!

Clippers with the terrific burst to the end the 3rd, up 106-102.

Clips give the Cavs a taste of their own medicine- quick push off of the Mitchell miss, and DJJ banks it in from the corner lol

Leonard, super sharp- cans the fadeaway, now a cat-like reaction for the steal!

Bogie, drains the baseline J- stays perfect! Clippers 115-103!

2 TO's converted into layups by the Cavs. Good timeout. Let's move the ball around.

That was big- Bogie good communications with Zu, the dish to the big fella for 2

That was tough- Mobley touches the net while the ball is over the cylinder, then lands the elbow in Bogie's face. Clips have nothing to show for those two uncalled infractions.

The big fella- good catch, goes up strong for the and 1!

Zu now cleans up on KL's miss! He's been the only one able to score the last few minutes for the Clips.

Leonard sinks the dagger bingo!

Final score- Clippers 132, Cavs 119! What a job by the guys on both ends + rebounding in the latter parts of the 3rd & of the course the emphatic 4th. HAPPY *28th* BIRTHDAY to Zu who had 28 points and 20 boards. Big time performances by the Klaw, Bogdanovic, bench did great. Harden struggled shooting but made some key plays.

What a win vs the best team in the NBA. Time to finish the regular season STRONG!

Props too to Brian Shaw, JVG for guiding the Clips to another win with Ty Lue sideline.

Oh, my Goodness.... the Birthday Boy Zu Alcindor BROUGHT IT tonight. Bogi brought it tonight. He's finally finding his place on the squad. I had my doubts about his legs, but he definitely looks energetic in this role he's currently in. Norm's offense early helped out, but the defense was suffering. Simmons brings the entire defense up a notch, but the shot making isn't there at all.

Overall, we're not shooting like that very often.... but I like what I saw. We have so much offensive AND defensive versatility. It hasn't looked like this all year, but they're starting to gain some cohesion right before the Playoffs hit. I love to see it. Wonderful win

A very good win.

Never saw Zu this huge! Saw his 29 rebounds game but this is a classic! KL is rising too lately.

Obviously, there will be few coaching vacancies post this season and I am sure Shaw will highlight his resume with the quality wins he procured for the clippers during this streak.😉

I was at the game and the place was f*cking packed and rocking! Its my 7th game and Intuit Dome is f*cking awesome! Don't let any scumbag POS on here or anywhere tell you otherwise. That place is a shrine and cathedral and soon to be monument!

-as for the game, I'm currently filling out apology forms to Bogdan and Kawhi. Kawhi please please please stay healthy! He's a game changer. Zu is a top center in the league and will be on the all star ballot next season. Good contributions all around. Great win. Epic game in an epic venue! We're watching this Cleveland, Memphis, OKC, and NY four game stretch closely. One down and four more to go!

Great writeup by Time Magazine. I would've added that having the practice facility and team offices all under the same roof and visible to all the fans entering the main concourse and going up the escalator to the upper level as a neat touch that you don't see in any other arena. San Francisco and Sacramento have practice facilities in the same building but in SF, it's in the basement so nobody can see anything while in Sacramento, it's attached to the exterior of the far end of the arena so nothing can be seen by the patrons on the concourse

Awesome to hear. Glad you had a great time at the game. Bogi is getting comfortable in the system while I've been saying it all year about Zu. He being the presence down low that he has been is not only great for the Clippers but great for basketball in general. The game was becoming too 3 point oriented and it was slowly becoming a detriment to a lot of teams who don't know when to sit guys who continually chuck and brick. Having a great presence down low was always needed to help open things up for shooters but for whatever reason, that element of basketball got lost. Thank you to Zu and every other big man who dominates down low for bringing diversity back to NBA offenses

I saw guesses for 115, 116, 117, and I wanted to badly put in 118... but I knew it would be higher scoring! I wanted to put 125-121... but then remembered that Norm is just working himself back (and was rusty last game)...

So I settled with 120-119.

At least I got 119 correct!

Good job! Cleveland was on pace for 180 after the 1st quarter
