How will the Clippers do in the game against the Los Angeles Lakers? What must the Clippers do earn a win? Which Lakers player should L.A. focus the D on? Will the game be first to 115 points or defensively-oriented? Go Clips!

Looking forward to it. I've been waiting 25 years to watch a Laker Clipper game where they don't share an arena. I'm hoping for both rosters to be at full strength. Shelled out $401 for two tickets in the upper bowl so I'm not just hoping for a good game but a GREAT game
Stormin' Norman 7, Lakers 6.
Harden the bingo over Christie, and 1!
Harden zips a pass through the defenders arms to Kawhi, bingo!
Zu the rebound, then the nice little hook!
Mo Bamba with an early call to check Anthony Davis
Clips up 32-26 at the end of 1. Just need to tone down the turnovers and they should be fine.
Nico who just hit a corner 3 now has to go to the locker room after he and Lebron bumped heads
Kawhi needs to get rid of the ball quicker on those Laker doubles
That's a nice hesitation move and scoop by Porter Jr
The Klaw quick spin along the baseline for 2!
Coffey steams towards the basket past Lebron for the slam!
Clips up 64-49 at the half, thanks in big part by defensive stops and pushes.
Jones Jr bingo, Clippers now lead by 21!
Zu another offensive rebound, kicks it out to the Beard who drains the wide open bingo
Clippers have gone ice cold, and their lead is now down to 11. Gotta get something closer to the basket vs all these jumpers.
There we go- play outta the time is for Zu who gets the and 1!
That was a big steal by Powell, to Harden- bingo! Clips up their lead back up to 17. BTW Batum has had several of similar picks this game as well. Clearly the Clippers know the Laker passing tendencies. Great job by the coaching staff, and of course great execution by the players.
That's great! Ty Lue puts in Cam Christie so he can be on the court same time as his brother Max. Lol gets some words from his bro at the line.
Both Christie brothers score in the final seconds. Lebron gives Zu some props in a nice chat there. Zu with a monstrous game- scoring, rebounding and on D. He, Powell & Harden once again lead the Clips. Kawhi was very good himself before he hit his minutes limit.
When is Powell contract up? Way better than Paul George and we need to keep him.
Hope you got your money’s worth. It was a very good game. The loss of PG has made Norm and Zu playing to their true potential. PG really stunted their performance.
Game highlights:
I absolutely got my money's worth. Clippers win big but the L word made a game of it. I almost felt sorry for them when the lead bulged to 26 points late in the 3rd. I went with a L word fan buddy of mine and I made the mistake of saying that I wish the game were closer. Well, you know how the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Sure enough, they cut the lead to 11 so we got a good game and all's well that ends well as the Clips pulled away at the end
I guess if I could nitpick at one thing, it's that the upper bowl was full of L word fans. While the lower bowl was more Clipper fans, I was definitely outnumbered in the upper bowl. My hope was that the steep prices and pain in the ass app would drive them away but that didn't happen
Still, it was well worth it. The teams are very evenly matched despite last night being somewhat lopsided and the cross town rivalry is back after a quarter century break. It's back and alive and well
He's got one more year after this at $20 million so he'll be a free agent in the summer of 2026
My friend was asking when Powell all of a sudden got good and I said he's basically been this skilled for awhile, it's just that he wasn't getting the minutes behind PG. Losing PG had it's benefits as like it's been noted in this thread, everyone else is picking up their game
I was wondering why the Lakers didn't have AD guarding Zu. Zu was abusing Hachimura in the post. The only thing I could think of was that the Lakers didn't want AD in foul trouble. Were the announcers mentioning that at all
Side note, I'm loving what I see out of Zu. Old school post game and it paid off with a player of the game award.
Have coaches forgotten about the value of big men?
Didn't Pat Riley once say, "no rebounds, no rings"?
Great to see old school, fundamental back to the basket dominance. Hope the league trends more towards it. It's always a good thing to have a diverse offense so that the defense is always wondering what's next

Mostly likely didn't want AD to get into foul trouble, plus maybe because he's not 100%. But the times AD was guarding Zu it worked well for the Lakers. If they were able to shut down Zu 1v1, they would've had a better chance. Zu was beasting for sure, and for the entire season. Rebounding-wise he's been great. In the past at times he would lose more of those 50/50 rebounds, but now, he's clutching most of them. All that hard work he puts in is paying off- just needs to be a little more consistent with the FTs.
