Lakers Shaping Up for Next Season?

Clippers Forum » NBA Basketball Talk

Guys and gals... We are not going to outplay the LA Lakers next season. It hurts to say that, but I am rather happy with the pieces we have and our path forward. Frank and West have done a tremendous job!

I really think LA will land at least one big name soon. Maybe two. That will be enough for playoff contention. I do not think we will be near that.

The "proccess" in Clipper land seems great though... we have no family drama... thank God we havent heard from none of our rookies Daddies. And our rookies are not goofing off and making rap battles with one another.

Although a time will come where we need to hire star talent, I am anxious to see how our rooks and young studs match up against the LA youth.

from ESPN:

"5. What's your one bold prediction for summer trades and/or free agency?

Herring: That the Clippers will end up having a better record than the Lakers next season if LeBron decides not to go to the City of Angels. The Clips have enough cap space for one max-level star, too. They may not be able to hold a candle to the Lakers' history, but it is still LA."

Oh... and LeBron.
