Blake Doing What Blake Does Well

Clippers Forum » NBA Basketball Talk

I thought this thread was going to be about him shooting jumpers.

I had hopes that he would have been a great jump shooter and player for the Clippers... oh, well.

I cannot believe I am about to semi-agree with Griffin, but he has got a bit of a point. I have been in the east coast for over a year now, and there are fans that really do not have lives beyond the sports teams. For starters, most small market east coast teams have 1 team (or no team.) California has got 4! Second, it gets rather cold in the east coast... a lot of (social) options are closed for people so they resort to watching sports or going to a nearby bar to watch the game. Third... besides NY, most of these cities are not as active as big cities. Even if the weather complies, there isn't much to do. Fourth, the cities are not culturally integrated. I see a lot of cities have less of a cultural mix, even if the demographic data shows otherwise, the communities are very separate from one another... Therefore I see a lot of core city dwellers miss out on cultural events or fusion experiences. It makes for a bit of a dry and cookie cutter life. Sports plays a larger role in the programming of said style of life.

I got rather sociological and anthropological and theoretical... I may be wrong with some of my examples... I may be wrong with my whole point... but I am only going off of my experience. I do not claim to have expertise in anthro or sociological fields - however, I do/have studied urban planning.

That man just scored 50, I'm so happy for him. Say what you guys want about him, but I remember him carrying our team when we were trash. Will love that guy forever

Ill give the man his due for that ONE game... he was also clutch. Great for him and the Pistons. At the same time, good riddance. I thank him for the good times he had in an LA uniform, but I am done with him. Moving on.

Blake coming back and playing hurt really impressed me... trying to give credit where credit is due.
