What are the odds that cp leaves houston after a year?
Jeez is this the result of AAU spoiled basketball era. Players are supposed to be butt hurt now when teammate give them advices that actually make sense basketball wise.
CP3 is gonna rip his Rocket teammates to shreds. But oh well, Harden wanted him so..
Maybe this is why there was POSSIBLY discord here. At least we will have fun this season eve at 6th seed. Even if we miss the PO's it should be more fun.
Thanks Houston...
He's all yours
Hate to see these guys playing with Jordan... that's "yelling"?
The league is so f***** soft now it's ridiculous.
I'd much rather have Blake gone and cp3 here, but that's me.

Houston will welcome you if that's your choice. Paul left, clippers tried to resign him...his decision...his move.. He left... Like it or not Blake was the one that " stayed" Paul left to join a superteam

Lol. I don't have no choice to make. I've been a clipper fan long time. I'm also a fan of basketball period. Also a fan of great players.
No need to bad mouth a guy because he left the team after he gave the clippers 6 straight seasons of playoffs and a winning record.
Maybe you weren't around before cp3. But we weren't winning and def wasn't enjoying the playoffs.
So let's stop with the cp3 bashing.

Cassell was never the defender CP3 is. CP3 gave us elite play/effort on both ends of the floor. It didn't bring us a championship but it brought more consistent success than this franchise has ever seen. You don't have to love him but you don't have to bash him. Greatest Player our Franchise has ever had.
Pretty hilarious to see CP micromanaging a meaningless exhibition game. I really don't see that relationship playing out well this year. A ball-handling control freak sounds like the worst possible complement to James Harden.
It's not like Harden doesn't deserve it.
Oh brother....
Don't worry. CPs reputation will not suffer because of things like this. Next thing you
know, the rockets fans will start complaining how Harden needs to adjust his game to
fit more with CP
Or how harden needs to be more mature on the court ![]()
CP is a master of getting fans of his teams on his side...
HA i completely agree... This kind of anal retentiveness has a weird way of getting on your nerves.

Exactly! Isn't that one of the big reasons why DJ wanted to leave? Because of CP3's yelling? Nothing a little :coddling can make right again. Soothe the ego and make him feel wanted. You also have to remember, Cp3 decided to leave as a leader, to ring chase as a follower , to a team where their best player is playing his position. Unlike the Durant situation, CP3's situation isn't going to come close to that. Cp3 turned in his superstar license to lead in order to be a follower on an already contending team. Real stars pave their own road for others, not hop a ride on someone else's road...But that's just me.
Can't wait till we face them in the regular season. Can't wait to see CP3 throw a tantrum late in the game by taking the ball away from DJ for no reason other than to try to start a fight. See, CP3 has a LOT more to prove...More than the Clippers. There is low expectation for our team so their is a lot more slack than CP3 and the Rockets. If the Rockets do NOT equal what they did last season, and we equal or surpass what we did last season, can you admit we made the right choice?

I actually prefer Cassell to CP. Sam brought a cohesiveness to the squad. They were cocky. It seemed a We rather than I.That good year the tetam seemed relaxed. Yes he did do the 8 second think but a D League player guarding Raja Bell (do I have this right?) was MDSr's fault and didn't Bell push off.

Great quote, but may i ask did you come up with it your self or hear it somewhere? If you did come up with it, that's very catchy.
Didn't Cicero say that?

Well, in this situation, Harden would be Jordan, and CP would be John Stockton. Not sure how Jordan would feel if Stockton joined his team and got up in his face during an exhibition game, let alone a game with any significance.
This, I totally understand. Cassell may have been a better leader or at the very least had better leadership methods, but CP3 is still the best player to ever play for the Clippers. I appreciate them both for accepting the challenge of trying to turn the worst franchise in sports history into a winning-respectable ball club.
I think the big difference is that we only had Cassell for 2 years and CP3 for 6. If Cassell pulled that 8 second error or something similar for 6 years and never got out the 2nd round you may have a different opinion of him. We didn't even make the playoffs in Cassell's 2nd year with us..

Just came up with it on the fly but nothing original. Basically, it takes a special person to lead which is why leading, is a road less traveled. Wish I could take credit but thanks for the compliment.
This is just my opinion, but I feel like it wasn't Blake or CP3 that made the Clippers what they were after last season. I feel that it was more Doc than either of those players. If we had a new voice, a coach who has a system that is more suited for CP3 and Blake, we would have more success. The team looked like they had nothing to fight for in that Utah series. Once I saw the lack of motivation from every player, I already knew it was a long road ahead, just to beat Utah in a series. Year after year since Doc has been our coach, our offense was soooo predictable, which is why Utah made it look so easy to shut us down. It was always running JJ off screens in the 1st quarter, followed by pick and pop with CP3 and Blake, mixed in with occasional lobs to DJ. Then here comes Jamal and Austin chucking up shots off 1 on 1 isolations with the second unit. I just feel like Doc's system did not utilize CP3's strength and I feel like Blake was just a mid range shooter. I hope they utilize Blake more in the offense.

The team imploded when MDSr started Livingston and Q Ross and Magettee and Sam came off the bench.
I agree. I think this is going to be a true test for Doc. I like the pieces we have now and honestly, I am more excited this year vs last year because I feel we addressed our weaknesses (age, toughness, size, and roster balance).
On the other hand, when people discuss the failings of the offence and compare to other teams, there does also seem to be a neglect for how personnel affects what you can run. People think ball movement in itself does something. What you actually need is decisive ball movement, but actually more importantly you need player movement.
After Blake went down, and even Austin was out or injured most of the series, the options were limited? Dynamic offense needs multiple play makers. You can have all the fancy sets you want if you don't have multiple playmaker they will breakdown and the same guys will have to create the offense , especially when it comes to playoffs.
Pedictable doesn't mean ineffective, but the Clippers offense couldn't be maximally effective if one of the stars is out, at least not against what was the league's second best defense, because the starting lineup only had two on ball play makers. Against a team like Houston, sure, they aren't focused on defense.
The Clippers also actually had a worse issue in that Joe Johnson was Michael Jordan against us.
... Also it looked like what was the point in beating Utah only to face the powerhouse Warriors squad without Blake and possibly CP3 missing a couple of games as well. He seemed to pull something/limping in game 7 against Utah.
Yea, we weren't beating them with Blake, let alone without him and/or Paul, even Utah couldn't pull off a game against them and they were the elite defensive team. The matchup against Draymond has been pretty bad for Blake the last three seasons, so unless it drastically changed in the series, there was no chance of even winning a game. That along with DJ at C were the only positions/areas the Clippers could argue for any sort of "advantage", and it was only on the offensive side with Blake.
This off-season, I hope Blake has been watching film and has maybe figured out some way he
can be effective against Draymond. I don't expect to beat them in the playoffs or
anything like that, but wouldn't it be nice to at least beat a healthy Warriors once,
even in the regular season? It's the little thing sometimes
. Also Blake dunks and
Curry, Durant and Green all in that game, at the same time.
