Not sure how many of you guys and girls are into virtual reality, but the NCAA announced yesterday that they are streaming the final-four and championship games live in 180-degree VR. I recently got a Galaxy Gear headset, and judging by the (recorded) sports content I've seen so far, it seems like this will be AMAZING!
If Ballmer and the rest of the association really want to be at the technological cutting-edge, THIS is where they need to be looking. I would willingly pay MUCH more than a cable subscription for such an immersive experience. It's almost like they'll have an unlimited supply of courtside seats to sell.
It wouldn't surprise me if the NBA announces something similar this year or next... for the finals, at least.
