Flip Sanders Passes Away at 60

It is indeed a sad day. I was just reading an article a couple of days ago that said he wouldn't be coaching for the entire season and then baam, the awful news this morning. He was only 60. Rest in peace, Flip. Condolences to his family.
That is shocking at 60. I presume he was ill?

Flip was diagnosed with cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma) in August and didn't respond well to treatment. Really is shocking at 60.
I heard he and KG was very close and Flip was the reason KG returned to Minnesota. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

This is very shocking and sad- Flip was a staple of the NBA for at least the last two decades as one of the best coaches. It's surreal because he seemed fine just last season coaching on the sidelines. RIP Flip....
This really is terrible news. It all happened so quickly, diagnosed a couple months back and now it's all over. 60 really is no age these days. As well as being a top coach for all that time he seemed a really genuine nice guy.
