To the Mods: Please Consider Suspending User Clipper*joe

As the thread title indicates, I strongly suggest you to seriously consider suspending or/and banning the user clipper*joe. I'm not normally a proponent of such harsh measures neither have I ever made such a request in any forum but this user's barely hidden and utter contempt towards the most tenured Clipper Deandre Jordan is braking all the boundaries and rules according to which most normal fan-sites or fan forums such as CTB operate. The user clipper*joe is flooding the forum with his posts about the aforementioned player and without any exception they are all negative towards the player. Even in very rare cases it is somewhat positive, it would then always be a so called backhanded compliment. To give you an example; The latest page (page 16) of the discussion about DJ's free agency has 9 posts of this poster that is about 30% (1/3rd) of ALL the 30 posts on this page as of this moment. In many occasions the sheer amount of this poster's posts comes close to or even surpasses the 50% threshold. I repeat, the user clipper*joe is FLOODING the forum with his personal hatred posts about the longest tenured Clipper Deandre Jordan that can take up to 50% and even more of the total volume of all the posts by other forum members. If the user Clipper*joe were a normal user like the rest of us, I would not mind. I would even envy this user for the time he has at his disposal for the forum and congratulate him of being such a passionate fan and that would be the end of it. In THIS case, however, I'm afraid that the barely veiled anti player agenda is being pushed by a never ending flood of the posts by the user....

I have considered him a troll for years. He has the right to his uninformed opinions though. Just ignore him like I do.

Then who are we suppose to laugh at when he makes uninformed crazy emotional posts?

paris, your rant is a little too long to digest but couldn't you put me on ignore? That would have saved you a lot of trouble writing. I know you just joined so you are probably ambivalent to the rules.

It's not against the site rule to troll a player if you are a fan of the team, otherwise many will feel handicapped and fearful when critiquing a player. And that is not the spirit of the site. On CTB every fan has the freedom to express his or her opinions & the freedom to debate (without resorting to personal attacks, of course).

There is a newish rule regarding excessive trolling by a team's own fan, but overall his posts do not meet the threshold as he also posts on a variety of other topics.

I highly recommend that you (or anyone else) who doesn't like to read his posts or anyone elses' posts to use the ignore button. That is what it is made for, and works great, even on quoted posts. I hope this suggestion is not shrugged off because the feature works very well, and took some decent amount of effort to develop.

BTW next time if you have a beef with a particular member, please be sure to contact the mods or that member directly instead of posting your complaint publicly on the forum, as that could constitute trolling a particular user, which is certainly against the site rules. Thanks in advance.
