Someone would actually need to want Hawes to make him tradeable.

Amar'e would an excellent pick up. He makes Hawes tradeable.

This is the only way it makes sense.

To have hawes, Udoh, big baby, and amare all on the bench seems like a clusterfuck. If we can trade hawes for a team looking for a starting scoring center, we just might be able to get a really good sf in return.

Not JUST for Hawes you won't. We'd have to sweeten the pot just a bit more.Wink

Then throw in Udoh, I'm sure he is tired of picking splinters out of his ass after every game.

If Amare wants to join our team, we take him for the simple reason that he's a better player than any of current backup bigs. Sort the rest of it out later. I don't see it like we need to trade a big to make room. There would be 1 more roster spot instead of 2 because of the dumb move to sign Jones for the remainder of the season....If/when we pick up a SF, we're at 15. If he finally decides to sign NateRob or another PG, Udoh gets cut and we're set for the stretch run.

Maybe Charlotte or Miami. Detroit could use a floor spacer for Drummond

Sad part is Amare is actually a bit better than Hawes. Both are traffic cones defensively but I think Amare is less of a liability believe it or not. He is also a better scorer and rebounder. He can't shoot 3s but neither can Hawes really....

The Pistons GM just might be dumb enough to do it.... Same for Charlotte, Miami would not. Riley is no fool and neither is Micky.

Pistons do have Monroe though but he will likely walk unless the Pistons match.

Isn't Stoudemire a forward? I don't know much about him yet, and this may end up being a dumb question, but would he be a good backup for Matt in the SF position?

He plays PF. If we sign him he should never play the 3 or 5.

Thank you. He'd make a good back-up for Blake then. Perhaps he'll choose the Clips over the Mavs.

Yeah he be perfect as Blakes back up. Then Hopefully we trade Udoh and Hawes for some real centers.

We need garnet and prince for our bench. That will instantly improve our defence. Bet we get 7 more rebounds pet game. garnet, prince, jamal, hawes and rivers would be a solid bench.

Udoh is a solid defender based on what I have seen. Sadly Doc never plays and likes to play over the hill scrubs like Davis or Mullens 2.0 over him.

I think Udoh is ok. You need a good defensive C/PF to pair up with someone like Amare.

I had a dream that there was 2 doors and amare could choose the clippers or the suns. kevin garnett was in front of the clippers door saying come to us but he chose the suns ahaha. Atleast we get KG right?

Its unlikely he'll come here.

Stoudamire can get us 8-12 points more consistently than Hawes

Amare can play backup PF and C in small ball. He would be a good bench scoring option for the minimum. You could play him at C with Blake and PF with DJ.

Yeah he has the length to guard some centers; much better option than big baby. I think Blake would still end up having to guard the 5 if he was playing with Amare

Don't really think Amare is the best option for us,we need a DEFENSIVE minded player and that's not exactly his strong suit.As for that making Hawes tradable he's tradable now except for the fact that no one is going to want his sorry ass.

Everyone on the radio puts him in Dallas.

Amare isn't small, has longer arms and is actually a shot blocker. He was also a full time C in Phoenix's small ball times, Blake is just a bad C.

In the end, not the best option if you want defense, but he can certainly be a nice bench piece for scoring.

Looks like he just signed with the Mavs. Oh well

Lol, could not resist that is funny...,

What happened to Nate Robinson?

I don't think KG is in the buyout conversation anymore due to the Nets attempting to make a playoff run and KD is a necessary piece to their attempts.

And.... another west team beat us to it. Good job Mavs.

Austin River is what happened to Nate Robinson.

He's about to sign with the Mavs. You guys think our FO still has something up their sleeves?

itsLuigi wrote:

mark cuban is close to his manager. he played with chandler. he has ties there. just like josh smith had ties with huston. if KG was let go he has ties with doc. celtics may do us a favor by releasing prince because docs ties with them.

People here have been thinking the front office has something up there sleeves this whole season and nothing has happened. I read that they've been trying to make trades but nobody in the league wants what they have to offer.

I think it's time to realize that this is the team we will go to the playoffs with maybe adding another piece, but we might just be knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. We simply don't have a good team

Well that was fast. I guess we can sign the stoner instead.

Mavs are just going after everything they can get their hands on. **** is looking more like a train wreck as the season goes on.

We have a good team. We have a very good team, in fact. Just not likely good enough to win a championship, but somehow strangely good enough to beat just about anyone in a seven game series.

it is an inconsistent team. It is an enigmatic team. But it is also a good team.

Yeah,armpits and that's about it.

I can't believe Doc did this to us!! He has one job and he couldn't even mind control a guy to choose us over the team he actually wanted to sign with. Absolutely ridiculous. Probably just wants to give his son more minutes and ruin all of our lives, am I right??

Sarcasm? Lol I can't tell anymore

It would have been nice to have Amare because it would be like having Blake's scoring (but not playmaking and passing) on the floor when Blake isn't there and especially now with Blake out, but whatever, can't have it all. He's also not a good defender, and no, Doc wouldn't magically make him into one.

What boggles my mind is Doc has coach Woodson as an assistant whose coached Amare doesn't he have any pull? What's the point of adding big name coaches if they can't finese players they coached previously to their current teams. It was similar to when Mello was considering the Lakers as a destination and Clippers wasn't in the conversation, don't really know if we had an interest in Mello, but my point being Woodson coached Mello, so maybe Woodson wasn't such a good coach afterall.

They fired Woodson, that team did not do well when he was there.

Ah, you can check how Woodson did as a coach in his career. Not bad...and he did well his 1st 1 1/4 in NY.

Their current coach isn't exactly lighting the league on fire, lol. Whoa's is Knicks.

Maybe he prefers Dallas and Dallas has more pull? I believe there was something about his agent having close ties with the Mavs. It is what it s

they also mentioned the best training team in the league. Balmer please get on that, if you had not done so already!

I wonder if he's had any discussions with a certain long time former teammate of his about the quality for our health and fitness people.
